May Blog Post, 2025!

Happy start to May ya'll! This year is literally running by. Its an exciting time for me because my wedding anniversary is tomorrow! (May 2nd). I planned a two day trip to the mountains months ago for our anniversary and now that I'm in this contest its a bit stressful...but I'm going to try and enjoy it! I will definitely upload pictures of the mountains for you in my next blog post.

Where are you with the contest?

Episode 1 and 2 are almost finished! I am leaving for my trip tomorrow, so I am planning to upload those both to you hopefully Saturday/Sunday! Everything is flatted, I am just finishing up coloring and the dialogue for the other episodes, which take me about a day each. I am hoping to have all 6 finished early next week so I can get back to Faroff ASAP.

Once I am done the first 3, I will start uploading to Webtoon!

Why did you join the webtoon contest? What's with the new style you chose?

I wasn't planning on it, as I told you guys a few months ago. I have been feeling a bit creatively stuck for the past few months...and I think its just because working on the same comic for years (even tho I absolutely adore it) will eventually burn you out.

I came up with this idea for fun, with no pressure, and decided to challange myself with simplifying my current art style and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Working on Wannabe Witch has really, really helped me break through that block and I feel so creative and inspired again. I think working on something small and new can do that for you. I feel excited to get back to Faroff and continue the story as a better artist.

I joined the contest since I was working on this anyways on the side, and because there is an opportunity to get more eyes to get on my work, I wanted to give it a shot. No matter what happens, I hope you enjoy the story regardless!

Faroff:

The next episode is all planned out, so once the Q+A is done, it will be onto sketches for that! Its gonna be a lot of Tobi backstory with Edward lore and I wanna make sure I do it right...but I'm very excited for it. Last call for any questions you may have for the Q+A!
