"How much time does it take you to work on all these details?"

Is a question that comes up every once in a while on the more detailed images I create and for the longest time, I didn't know myself.

The cause of this is my multi-piece working system, which means that I'm working on more than one piece at any given art creating session. I can work on inking a picture for most of an hour, then take a break, get away from the desk to flex my body a bit, make tea and return only...

Pajama party - Strip poker session~

No one knows how to play strip poker here, no one!

They would be better of playing strip Jenga, but knowing Geno she would just slapped the tower down on the first turn and jump straight to the good part~

I got to write down that I'll need to remake this picture with my anthro ladies in the future, but with Sun in place of Nika.

Mostly because, I'm finishing up and closing a chapter on all of the existing sketches featuring the old-canon designs of Nika ...

2024 in art - summary~

This past year, just like in 2023, I've kept a record of how much content I've done each week and I'm proud to say that the last year was perfect.
The only week where I didn't do anything art related was my vacation week in august, when each day was spent entirely on traveling and sightseeing from dawn till dusk.

That's not even a question. It's a statement~

Obligatory traditional media color work for this year. I need to work more with my crayons, it's fun, eventhough I do not like how the scan dulls out the colors. Of course I try to manually adjust the color balance and contrast, but that's a hit or miss, balancing act. Pulling out warm colors weakenss the cold shadows and vice versa. The colors will never look as good as they do in reality~

Color me like one of your furry girls~

Teaser for next weekends upload and showing off how I do color inks with colored pencils/crayons.

The five colors present are the palette I've chosen for skin and hair.

Basically I do use 2-3 colors for the base of a surface and then shade that surface with darker tones that construct shadows and light (the brown and cream ones being responsible for the body here, while dark blue on the shadows on the pillow).

I practicaly do not use black and white for shado...
