Character Spotlight: Bramble

"Bramble is best described as a tall, walking ball of anxiety. But it'd be mean to call him that to his face, so instead he's just a fluffy lanky dook with a cute tail. Quiet and unassuming, it's easy to miss the ferret despite his height, as he somehow manages to blend in to his surroundings like camouflage. Whether he actually does somehow possess some kind of supernatural ability or it's just the ferret being himself is in need of further testing. Does not taste like blackberries (Seriously who even started that rumour?)"

FADE IN

INT. THEATRE - STAGE

Phirae lounges on a sofa, resting his head on the side and looking over to a plush velvet recliner. Within perches Bramble, who's cuddling his tail for moral support, and staring out into the empty audience seats.

Bramble: D-do we really have to get up on this stage? It's unnerving...

Phirae: I mean... We could turn the chairs around? They're just empty seats, though. It's fine.

Bramble: I still get a weird feeling that I'm being watched...This...This isn't a prank to get me, is it? I know you w-wouldn't tell me if it was but...

Phirae: No! There's no one else in the room!

Phirae stares at the camera and winks.

Bramble: ...W-What are you looking at?

Phirae: Nothing! First question! Who are you? and how are you? This is supposed to be chill, you can relax it'll be fine.

Bramble: Uh, I'm fine making sure you're not going to grab me, thanks... But I'm Bramble. I work at the cafe part-time.

Phirae: Next question! What do you even do all day? I find you in the weirdest places.

Bramble: H-hide from people like you! And, well...draw. And paint. Landscapes are pretty, and so peaceful and serene. From far away, I mean. U-up close they're full of predators and danger a-and it's hard to tell where it's safe and-

Phirae: Alright alright, I get it.

Bramble: Oh, sorry... Otherwise, I like getting lost in a good book. There's a few good spots around town to cosy up in and dive into a good mystery novel or an amazing fantasy adventure! 

Phirae: Or trashy romance fics?

Bramble: Th-there's nothing trashy about them!

Phirae: If you say so... Third question! You're like, a foot taller than me; you've got like, natural camo somehow; and your insides are all weird and green - all pretty predatory traits. How come you're such an easy snack?

Phirae slowly rises into a prowling stance. Bramble leaps from his chair.
