Kataren's Final Form!

Hi Guys.

So I can't decide what to do with Kataren. There are so many options I can't even settle on a subcategory.

I'll put a few of the more obvious options here on the poll, but if you guys want to see her as a different race, pick the 'other' option and comment your idea!

Edit: I meant for this to be Silvers only, but I fucked up. So, I'll post another poll in a few days to choose within the winning subcategory!

Comments

Wind island was made. So flying creature works.

inkaral

Angel, but have the dungeon pump her full of magic affinities that change the color of her wings as she uses them. I think some shifting lava lamp or tie dye esque patterns would be a cool visual.A bog standard angel thing as well would be cool but let her do the "Biblically accurate" thing and have her wings perform mind magic through fake eyes she can conjure on them that shows the person she's targeting a vision of a many eyed fractal being so she can get away without needing to always fight her way out if she gets in trouble. Either those two or go full in on the concept of a Celestial and make her all space themed with black wings dotted with stars, and fun astronomy based powers.

Raptor425

Another thought I had after rereading Chapter 89: Since it looks like Angel/Angelic/Winged is going to win, and Kataren has enough affinity for all the elements for just a few spells of each, why not go with something like a Harpy based on a Bird of Paradise, with the colors of the affinities making up the colors of her feathers and plumage? That would be neat.

inkaral

Might I recommend a bit of a combo deal? Combine the highest voted with the second highest? Currently, that would be angelic/winged crossed with Elf. Might be a good time.

jord

Well, she *did* complain about being so pale... :P

I really, really like the idea of a halo of her own mana. It really makes sense that the creator would look at what already exists (his accretion disc of mana) and base some of his ideas around them. One stereotypical basic angel idea could be played with - their unearthly beauty. Perhaps she could have a very blatant mind-afffecting power that tells people "this is an utterly beautiful woman" while trying to draw attention away from the non-human features. The people that could get past the illusion/compulsion would see the wings. There's a common trope in folklore regarding creatures disguised as humans: the creature can't transform the feet properly. Sometimes, the feet aren't human at all. Other stories have what appear to be human-looking feet, but they leave non-human footprints. So, transforming her feet into animal feet (perhaps with an extremely weak illusion that could be easily seen through) is one option. I don't think that she should go down that route, as good footwork is an important part of fighting, and transforming her feet into paws / birds feet / etc would force her to relearn too much. The other option would be to have a kind of telekinetic field around otherwise human feet, giving her non-human footprints (and also improving her grip).

I would say that elf and dwarf are out if you want decent plausible deniability about Kataren's origins. Demonic/tiefling would be fun since it could add a little mystery as to what animal would be the "base" for such a form. Whereas Angel or Cat/Dog/Foxgirl would be a decent choice but an expected extrapolation on the animals available. Unless you wanna go cutesy or uncanny valley with the angel option, I vote demonic.

alrightlatenight

Okay seems I missed a chapter and my assumptions were wrong on almost all counts.

Steven Bartels

I absolutely love this option! ๐Ÿ’ž

Novel Cat

๐Ÿ˜ Or as a third eye shaped like his crystal including the color and shine of it?

Novel Cat

Everyone Loves a winged gal. That being said, a touch of everything from the dungeon so far would be interesting lol. I personally love a well made chimera but the most Logical would be a human woman with draconic features as that would help her to not feel so alien in her own skin as much. But if we Were to go the chimeric rout *rubs hands in mad scientist* I'd vote for a balance that leads to just a Touch of all of the sentients in the dungeon. The following is a list of options I like but this will take a while so you've bin Warned lol. ~ A rough outline to bring out the representation of all of his current sentient children would be to let her have a variation of the horns from the minotaurs, the accent scales from the kobolds and drake kin, the carapace storage aspected "scales" from the Scorpans (Or make the core of her tail a more flexible Scorpan tail), give her feathers with the same temp regulation properties of the goat pple (and maybe even the same color as them?{Twould be interesting to have fiery red hair, wings, and tail lol}), the tough under skin of a shark, the hollowed yet flexibly sturdy bones if a bird (Maybe fill the hollow sections with a bio liquid that's light but turns hard when struck?), the leg structure that's a mix of the goat pple and the kobolds, the lower legs and feet of a bird of prey (retractable claws are optional), maybe increase her height while accounting for her wingspan to keep her proportional, the potentially psychic abilities of the mindshroom without its mind controlling tendencies for private communications, and, of course, any/all aspects that you find valid lol. Weird thought just popped up= mythril (coral) bones lol. ๐Ÿ˜ Mythril is often seen as incredibly strong while staying very lightweight and is a Highly magically conductive mental so...it fits ๐Ÿ˜. Especially since their properties would change based off of the elements that'd run through them. Plus, Kata already has Multiple elemental affinities so she'll have to learn how to use multiple affinities sooner or later so the possibilities are endless lol. ~ Btw, if you Did use the minotaur horns, I'd vote to have them curl up and around her skull for added protection OR as cute little nubs so she could still run her hands through her new hair lol. A more detailed by play below lol. This is all just a few suggestions coming off the top of my head that I could see as useful within most any chimera. But before I get into the nitty gritty details, I'd vote to slowly increase her senses from below that of an average human into her newer improved self so that she'd be better able to adjust into her new self. (Without the overwhelming terror of so many new sensations and appendages at once. ๐Ÿ˜…) And maybe even allowing her the option to control the levels of her senses as needed. (Maybe via a new organ?) Below is a list of my itemized thoughts on improvements that you've probably already thought of lol.: ~ Gills for any underwater battles. The fun aspect of gills is where all you put them and how many to have lol. For instance, if she Also had gills In her nose, they could work double duty by filtering out the air and thus help with any surprise gas attacks. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜ ~ Lungs that either A. Can absorb water and other detritus quickly after exiting the water or B. Interchangeable lungs that stay flat while the other is in use and can efficiently expel the unneeded excess when switching locations. (Also improving the filtration of her lungs could help with her efficiency.) If both could be used at the same tube then her chest cavity and proportional body shape would have to apply ๐Ÿ˜…. ~ The eyes of the strongest sight with an Optional (retractable?) lens that can change color to better protect from both physical and non physical forms of danger. (Added bonus would be the ability for those lenses to filter through different forms of sight= body heat, infrared, etc.) OR on a more Random note, it would be funny And Interesting if she actually had a third eye that specializes in seeing through Everything while her main eyes focus on daylight and nighttime vision lol. (๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜Œ And said third eye would stay closed unless absolutely necessary ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Š.) I think the color of her eyes being the same color as his core could be representative to his children of her being his eyes and ears for outside of the dungeon but that's just me lol. On another note, having her keep her original color for her eyes could help her to feel more connected with her past self so ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพ. ~ The ears should be optimized to be capable of both detailed long range hearing and echolocation for better protection and situational awareness. With echolocation and any other add ons, the brain should have the necessary adjustments made. Including new sections of the brain etc. Another function of the of the ears could be the ability to move in different directions. This could then give off those elf/beast kin vibes you were contemplating. Though if you went with the skin option I'll mention later I'd vote for a webbed version for more sea-kin vibes lol. ~ I touched on the nose earlier with the gills but it would also be wise to use a more specialized nose that could help with her situational awareness in the future. Preferable would be a nose that looks mostly normal on the outside but very specialised on the inside. Specialized gills could help but that's up to you. Realistically, any changes inside the nose could honestly be seen in the shadow of the nose and easily be seen as just a quirk of her biological structure lol. But as I stated earlier, with Any of the changes made, Especially the sensory ones, I'd vote to deaden her senses to just below her human senses at first before slowly increasing them into her newer improved senses to help with any disorientation caused blowback(s). ~ Mouth. I'm not a fan of the lipless variety, though it Would help with any uncanny valley vibes... Still, I'd vote for at least a Little pout to those lips. If balanced properly it could create an interesting sort of beauty lol. Inside the mouth? It depends. I'd vote for the sensing organ in the roof of the mouth that cats have as an added bonus. Teeth should be strong with the ability to be replaced like sharks. Though it isn't necessary for all teeth to be sharp as omnivores= more options. Plus it's what she's most used to and keeping some of her humanity should help with the transition. Twould be funny if her flat human front teeth are actually almost as sharp as razors ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘€= uncanny valley. Though if her front teeth were shark teeth while her back teeth were sharp molars it Would lead more towards dangers hidden behind a polite/gentle smile kind of vibes lol. And now onto the tongue... Don't want that tongue to get shredded so it has to be tough yet still flexible but how tough? Also wouldn't want to get rid of her sense of taste but having a sharp tipped tongue could be useful for getting meat out between teeth... So I'd vote for a tongue with slight transmutational properties. If so, then she'd be able to speak more tongues of various races, clean her teeth without needing as many supplies, and better able to understand the compositional make up of different ingredients in foods. ~ Improved vocals are a Must for any inter-species relations as not all sapients use the same pipes lol. Thus being able to reach more vocal ranges should help there. Plus, if her ears can match her vocals, then she'd be able to hear any words most would think hidden in plain sight lol. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Š Would also create some Interesting singing And possible voice attacks in the future lol. ~ But of course, there's also the Skin! ๐Ÿ˜Š If you look closely at the human skin (especially through a microscope or just dry skin) it's not flat and smooth like a sharks, nor is it rough like some lizards, or truly scaly like a snake... It's unique. I'd vote to take advantage of this uniqueness by installing scales small enough to mimic human skin while layering it in such a way that still creates good protections. (Maybe shark skin toughness with scales atop?) Added bonus would be skin colors within the range of most humans or even skin the same color as the ground, sands, and/or mountains of Medea island. Especially since the Medea option would make her more unique. Of course the usual protections will be in place for heat/fire, cold/ice, magic, etc. But an added option could be rogue/chameleon vibes= blending into surroundings... Though that'd be a hidden option most times lol. Added protections could be larger/more prominent scales in areas of importance, and/or as points of beauty like around her eyes, ears, and neck. Those larger scales would have to be in a different shade(s) to accentuate her features as everything the same color= bland... Though this would then lead to her possibly needing more oils to help with the health of her new skin as I doubt lotions would help much with scales lol. ~ Another aspect(s) of the larger scales could be as a storage function. Especially if magic is used to help facilitate this while also providing replacement aspects that could grow over time with the proper encouragement(s). (This could be via food, cultivation, pills, etc.) If storage under certain scales (that are tough like the carapace of the Scorpands) were used then this would open up more options for improvements. Like with nails, elbows, knees, a tail, and Wings. Nails could be extended under specialized scales (carapace) that mimic normal nails and the tail aspect Could be hidden as needed per the situation. Depending on how it's situated, she could have wings and the like that could tuck away (and regenerate) as needed without having to worry about different complications. ๐Ÿ˜ Though the tailor would have to plan for the eventual use of said wings which would then create an Interesting moment(s) as she unfurled them from her back lol. Said wings should be waterproof whether they're scaled or feathered for obvious reasons. If feathered, I vote that it matches the color(s) of her hair. (The same could be for her larger scales and/or her tail to create a color scheme but that's up to your preference lol.) I'd vote draconic as he already has that theme going for him BUT creating a brand new race would Definitely create more intrigue as to what else this dungeon had to offer. So either option is valid. ~ The bonus to feathers is in the functionality aspect. A. They could keep her warm and help her regulate temp in different scenarios. B. They'd be an extra layer of protection for different situations. And C. If the feathers are specialized enough they could be used as a means of ranged attack as needed. Many other interesting options come into play if you included the feathers. Like replacing her hair with different specialized feathers. Smaller specialized feathers for the eyelashes and eyebrows (unless you're going with W.O.W. Elf eyebrows). More flexible and hair like feathers for her hair for better layered protection of her skull. Depending on the color theme you could go with the rippling colors of ocean waves, the flowing colors of jungle vines, and/or the dancing flames of a fire. Another aspect of the feathers could be incorporated into her body hair if you wanted her to Have body hair. Though I'd vote to specialize those feathers into smaller and more inconspicuous versions that are possibly see through while still providing another layer of protection and temperature regulation. If your wanna go full bird woman you could then cover her in a fine layer of said feathers though if you did I'd vote to change those hair like feathers from see through to the color theme already present in her hair. Maybe even a touch of the jungle, ocean, and/or fire in different areas to create a pop of color. But whether you go feathered or featherless I'd still vote to have scales as the base of the skin. If mostly scales, then she could have accent feathers. If used as more of an accent vs all over her body, they could be near/around/on her ears, her major joints, and her tail if you Want her to have a tail. ~ Speaking of the tail option, if covered in feathers, it could give her more of a kitsune vibe. And depending on the structure of the tail, she could then better utilize it while flying or swimming. Like if the tail without feathers was shaped like flexible kite that curves in around its outer edges. Or if it was a flat Scorpan tail that's as flexible as a rat's (Or a cats) tail while still being able to let it's edges almost meet when relaxed. Like a flexible hollow tube with a line down the underside, feathers all over, and a stinger at the end lol. It would Usually only be in this state when not flying or swimming. The only downside of the tail is that it's all or nothing in that you either have it or you don't. Especially since tucking it away could be almost impossible.....unless you layer it in such a way that it folds/tucks into itself before being covered up by the specialized storage scale... But that would get uncomfortably constricting sooner than later so I wouldn't vote for it lol. I'd rather let that tail hang free feathers and all ๐Ÿ˜. The only upside to have that spacial scale(/carapace) at the base of her tail (and at the base of her wings) would be protection from it being cut off at the root, possible self regeneration possibilities, and any future covert/infiltration roles. Another option for the tail variation would be the 9 tail option but that could EASILY be overwhelming with so many new appendages though it would still offer multifunctional options in the future lol. ~ For the arms and legs, I'd vote to have thicker/more prominent scales over the connection points of all muscles, joints, etc. Improved flexibility and muscle strength is a Must. And I personally think that the arm and leg hairs are optional lol. ~ Same situation for the core of the body only thicker over key important areas like the heart, lungs, etc. Twould look interesting to have a six pack accentuated with (possibly multicolored) scales. Especially since this would then mean that she'd still be relatively armored even in her casual clothes. Aka she's Always protected lol. ~ Her hands could be double jointed with stretch durable skin to help with swimming. Claws hidden under her nails Would be useful and having tough yet still flexible palms child also be helpful. ~ Everything from the waist down is mostly up on the air for me. Yes the muscles need to be optimized but do we change the structure for better jumping and pouncing capabilities or no?... The downside would be the increased learning curve with the invasion coming so soon. While the increased capabilities of a changed structure is also very useful..... Decisions decisions lol. If we kept to a mostly human template, then I vote to change the structure of her feet slightly so that it can better grip and jump properly. Extra flexibility via extra joints and muscles in the feet could help with this. Another aspect Could be allowing the soles of her feet to have the toughness of a minotaurs hoof while still being both flexible and sensitive enough to tell different floor textures without having to worry about the pain. Plus, if the foot is flexible enough, and has the proper extra joints, then she could possibly grip branches and other perches better while also swim better while on the water. Not to mention, if she has retractable claws in her toes and the heels of both feet, then she'd be better able to grip surfaces better no matter what. In keeping with the mostly human aspect option(s), her lower legs could then be covered in thicker/mite prominent scales. Kinda like her own natural knee or thigh high boots. I already mentioned an option for the altered version of her legs so I won't reheat it here lol. For a more detailed/systematic plan I'd lay out all of them in a chart like format with different sections or charts being per floor? But the simplified version could be to separate the floors by different pages, list major players in the first column, list the major characteristics of each in the second column, and then in the third column take out the rows and list what major themes seems to be common in each group/floor. Or you could just do the first two columns of the above using only the sapients to separate out all of their major characteristics for better mad scientist mixing lol. Then use those aspects in different parts of the body for better optimization. But those are all of my current thoughts. Sorry for the ramble. Hope you enjoyed it lol. And sorry for any typos I missed as I'm currently writing this via my phone. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™ƒ

Novel Cat

Angels don't really fit thematically unless there is a sky island, otherwise she would just be an eye candy... Some sort of merfolk would fit more thematically. It would round up 11th floor's residents. Additionally a merfolk would reinforce the idea that Medea has been developing the 11th floor for a very long time. Merfolks are also amphibious so they/she can traverse the dungeon in it's entirety by herself, minus the sky of course, but there are other methods for that. Plus merfolk can easily be eye candies.

Magical Hobo

Tough Choice! Let's try to narrow it down. Dwarf and Demon don't really fit Kataren's personality. Or the existing themes. While wings would look awesome on first glance, they won't really be practical: Non of her guards will have wings, so she will be alone in the air and be the target of all bows and crossbows. Also to be realistic, the wings would need to be huge. Small wings with mana supported flight might work though. If she gets wings, then winged draconic would fit better than winged angel IMO. Elven features will give an impression of nobility. That would be good since Kataren will be dealing with nobels. But is Elven different enough from Human? Foxgirl would be so cute. A stark contrast to the mosterous vibes of the rest of the dungeon creatures. Having the ambassedor not scream "monster" on first sight will be helpful. At second glance, Kataren should still look like a seasoned fighter, so nobody will underestimate her. Maybe she can use her tail in creative ways in a fight, so have better balance?

Julian

As an addition and regardless of the chosen form I hope the core is represented somehow. Maybe in her eyes or a mark visible on her body?

Marian Ch

I feel like some mana being would represent the dungeon rather well. Not a spirit or something incorporeal. More like something with crystal hair and/or glowing eyes. Something between the physical world and mana.

Frogger

I was personally leaning towards elf, but seeing how the poll seems to turning towards angel, I would make one suggestion. Rather than the traditional feathered wings, I think it would be cooler to use mana constructs or something more like the wings of the angels from Diablo. Which are basically just tendrils of energy and can take on a more physical aspect to skewer enemies. I suggest this mostly because Kataren would likely have to change her entire fighting style to adjust for the new appendages which would leave her more vulnerable for a while. Mana "wings" would give her a more versatile arsenal and also look ethereal as fuck to the island residents, especially those with mana sight.

Robert Adams

Send her home.

Mr. Lab Brat aka RFUdkz on RR

It can be a slow transition... I don't think she'd want a drastic change in form, more in function. Things like adding mana sight but not taking away what she has, making her all around stronger and more agile, mana affinities, respawn crystal, etc. If you do want to change form you can always merge features and make something new... the two most popular are elven and angel right now. I'd go for something that doesn't exist in your world already, so if there are already elves I'd say no to that but if there aren't then adding a new race could be awesome. Also you could introduce the concept of shifting, lots of suggestions are more monsterous than a human would want to be all the time, but if she was able to shift between two forms it would be easier to deal with psychologically and could even be a bridge between humanity and the dungeon. Having a social and battle form both is always fun.

Steven Bartels

I want to second Harpy

Kazzy

I mean, if we want to go for scales but still human like, the Au ra from final fantasy 14 would be a good choice imo

Joe The squatch

The entire dungeon leans more towards scally thing or shelled creatures. So I think a Lima or snake girl would work well and be very obviously not human yet fall into the familiar butter zone.

Daniel Gesualdi

Hehehe I've never been this happy I patreon you StrangerDanger51. Angelic form for the W!!

Pepperbell

Wings would require a different style of clothing to accommodate.

Skia Elafris

This is a difficult one, but I think for the best result you'd have to look at what makes sense from kata's point of view. I don't get the sense she wants to abandon much of her humanity/human form as she indicates wanting to go shopping and interacting with humans, which also will be her task on the surface. She also indicates she doesn't want to stop improving, so making major changes that'd alter her fighting style (dwarf/short) seem illogical. She does indicate there is at least one thing she wants to change and it makes sense it'd be something that had been holding her back, like a lack of (magic) defense, lack of strong offense (a crossbow doesn't really scale) or something most dream of like wings/flight. Angelic/winged sounds like an easy solution, but has some caveats, firstly just giving her wings wouldn't change her physical appearance much otherwise, and it would have a big impact on moving/ducking around in underground rooms/tunnels with wings trailing behind you. Secondly, keeping in touch with the "realistic" approach of monster design in the story, just giving here a pair of classic angel wings on here shoulders wouldn't make her form balanced for actual flying. Finally, it would also have a big impact on her interaction with humans, most clothes would no longer fit or become impractical, chairs, beds, etc would also become an issue. All things considered I don't think a big addition like wings is the way to go. The elf and demon paths seem the most logical to me, perhaps something along the lines of a dark elf? As for the feature, it could be something small physical but with a large effect. Particularly I'm thinking something along the path of a dark elf with dark and manasight, perhaps a couple other options as well? The eyes are one of the major recognizable features in human faces, so just changing their color/shape would go a great way in that direction as well.

Enthernal

I think Dragon girl would be a good choice as it is Winged, reflects her history with the Kobolds and let's her still keep a largly human form.

Arceus

Angelic does make sense. Being able to fly is pretty unanimously loved. Plus, kata would probably be inclined to it in that it changes little of how she interacts with the world. No heightened animal senses, no horns getting in the way, and the freedom inducing feeling of flight. Top that off with her combat skills, and sheโ€™ll fit right in as the poster child of an archangel in no time.

Riley Cox

My mind splits a couple ways First what creature does she respect the most(I.e does she want to be draconic.). Second second since she mentioned elements a quad element in fused human. where patches are safe-flames and limbs coated in water, eyes of fire kind of thing. I do get the angel and demonic look though.

Silence the Lamb

Hear me out, I might be reaching for the stars right now. what if he made her a were-orca or something along those lines.

justin wade

Gorgon could be a Lamia type boss monster.

James van Haaften

I would think itโ€™s less of what we want and more of what Kata as a character would want. From what I understand she has a strong attachment to humanityโ€™s culture, sheโ€™s exited about seeing the sun and shopping for clothes, and her fighting style reflects that of a well rounded and cautious rouge, whatever she chooses should at the very least reflect that I think. Idk Iโ€™m not a writer so maybe Iโ€™m overthinking it. ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

Ripstick 12

I think the angelic form may help with furthering cooperation with the humans and maybe create some more mystique with his orgins. but I feel like draconic is the way to go

Randy

draconic to show her connections/history with the kobold

mohd hisyam

My vote is for angel, but with a dark palette rather than light; going for more Angel of Death vibes.

Toua77

Hard to say no to wing unless there is a relevant phobia making them a no go

Skia Elafris

My vote is for demonic. Everything else seems done to death/boring.

Curb504

Oh no no. Not rings IN their eyes. But rings WITH eyes. Biblical angels are all concentric circles with eyes and wings and look more like old gods than Devine beings.

Twin

Sidhe are the ones with rings in their eyes as far as I know in fae /celtic mythology.

X Blade

Trifling would have been fun, nothing wrong with horny gals. Haw. But a shame nobody wants a good shortstack. So on that note for angel, you could also go Valkyre so it's more battle oriented than the "holy" notion for angels. Or we talking biblically accurate angel here as big rings with multiple eyes? For elf could be fun to see her grow taller, or perhaps shorter as more of a wood elf than say, a sun elf from dnd. All fun options in the end.

Twin

maybe give her teal hair and wings too for a matching set

X Blade

If he goes with angels it can't just be the stereotypical basic angel from pop culture. It needs to be something different, maybe bioluminescent hair and wings, maybe a physical halo instead of one just made of light, or at the very least a halo of her own mana, maybe that she can draw upon. Maybe add feathered ears, winged ears, or even mini wings on her ankles. Like Hermes sandals but directly on her feet's ankles. Maybe even place her wings on her hips for a more sensual look. Or just place her wings on the middle of her back so they don't clash with her shoulder blades. All these are options that can be mixed and mashed or even singled out.

X Blade

I can see harpy working out well, since he could add harpies or carvings of harpies to the Wind Island for the delvers to find. Style her as โ€œthe last of her kindโ€ or some such. I think the problem with doing โ€œangelโ€ is that there are actual gods in this world, so there are possibly angels as well. If she doesnโ€™t match what โ€œangelsโ€ are portrayed as elsewhere, there might be some questioning and/or confusion occurring.

inkaral

I second she should have true sight as well as the affinities (and usage of) she currently has. Dungeon has to project power and she'd be a great way to do so.

Nodlehs

Honestly elf fits the best because he is improving her already human form. Elf is naturally the next step. Or should I say supernaturally? lol

X Blade

I was thinking of including that as an option but was uncertain how it would work, especially with the Courts taking on that niche in this world

Stranger Danger

Canโ€™t the dungeon control the destination of Teleportation Stones? So as long as she has one on/in her body, size shouldnโ€™t affect entering and leaving.

The Grey Mage

I would have voted fae if it appeared. Edit: Not fairy.

PickledTink

Basic elf is boring and would require some serious cosmetic changes. If you are going to be looking at a new face may as well be something cool and not just pointy ears.

Some BS Deity

The final decision on her form will be decided in a later poll, and if Angelic wins, Harpy will be one of the options.

Stranger Danger

Naga, lamia, dryad, half-dragon, nereid, and fallen angel are all fantastic possibilities.

Some BS Deity

I'd go with harpy rather than angle

Shiloh Gallaher

I think it depends on what type of elf is made ranging from pointy ear human to physical embodiment of an element.

Matthew

I feel it would be more in character for her to become a lizard girl. Not like the drake kin or kobolds but still with a few scales and a tail

Pyro Reaper

Iโ€™m fully on board for the angelic transformation. Iโ€™m assuming that while she is getting transformed, the dungeon can give her all of the affinities, and knowledge of how to use them. If sheโ€™s an angel sheโ€™s gotta be powerful in her own right, while she will have guards she also needs to be able to fuck some shit up if necessary. Would also be cool if the dungeon found a way to make her a halo that emits a soft teal light, and give her something like truesight.

Phsteven

I don't think elf is a good fit it's just too similar to human and makes the connection far too easy

Shiloh Gallaher

One (more) suggestion here, go Orc.

James van Haaften

Naga are more water I think, likely eels, Iโ€™d have various lamia subspecies for different environments, similar with spider based beings (Dungeon Life had three sapient spider species in the same enclave).

James van Haaften

I think I agree with most on the angelic poetion, but she needs to have a fallen angel/devil alternate form that's kind of like SSJ3 but not quite as powerful

Dennis Hornsby

Angelic makes most sense to me. Itโ€™d fit her given her religious background and can be used to play up the dungeons divinity angle both to itโ€™s creations and make her seem more benevolent to the humans. Plus it can be played off of Katarin adjusting to her new deity and trying to figure her place in everything.

Crimson Gaming

Character wise, it makes a sort of sense to pick Elf, and with extra features, she'd probably want a winged elf. Personally I'd prefer some kinda lizard kin in the "other box" but I don't realistically see that happening.

Azurus Icewind

Maybe a dryad or water version of one? Or some sort of other sea/nature elemental being.

Marian Ch

Also if what you do to her could be copied by the gods to help improve other humans with more intelligent design during rank advancement.

James van Haaften

Merpeople are probably going to be their own thing on the Eleventh, and evolved from fish or something. Not sure about Naga or Lamina. Probably from snakes, potentially as another desert species?

Stranger Danger

The problem with Giant is that she still has to be able to get into/out of the dungeon. Multiple arms sounds cool though

Stranger Danger

Another question that you have to ask yourself is if you want others know of guess she was human in the first place and how nonhuman you want to go.

James van Haaften

Since she is going to be the voice of the creator angel really fits

TheLost

Giant / Asura (maybe only the 6 arms and not the 3 heads) or a Gorgon.

The Grey Mage
