QUESTION: FOR MARVEL FANS!

Caley and I are going to start watching MCU movies and series but are trying to figure out which order we should start: by release date (starting with Iron Man) or chronologically (starting with Captain America: The First Avenger)? There's a lot of mixed opinions online and we want to get the most out of the experience so let us know! - Gabi

Release order is the proper order for anyone who has never seen them. If you watch in chronological order, you will be spoiled from time to time.

You're a lifesaver, thank u! - Gabi

I think that's what we're going to do, just watch them in release order since that's how they might've been intended to be watched/viewed (sorry this sentence is all over the place) but eventually we'll rewatch in chronological order to experience it differently! - Gabi

Caley

Just go release order, you guys have great reactions and bounce off each other so well so I’m down either way!

Maybe we'll do a first-time watch in release order and then rewatch eventually in chronological, I don't even know. I'm so stuck on what to do! Once we start there's no going back haha - Gabi

Chronological would seem to make more sense but because they put teasers in the credits at the end of the movies it's better to watch them by release date as designed. The teasers aren't always about the next movie in particular but things in the MCU that are being pulled together for the story. So by watching chronologically you will see teasers that may not have the same impact or importance as if you had stuck to release date.

Most reactors I’ve seen would do it in release order but I’ve also heard chronological is the best way to experience it.
