Patreon Update 3-2-2025

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for riding with me through another adventure with Ken. (And poking at all my numbers).

Things are going well. I feel like this was a solid novel, there's a little foreshadowing I'm putting in at the beginning, clarifying Universal Language when it's first brought up and addressing that their stats are behind where they should be but they are wearing epic raid gear to make up for it right now.

Of course, I have a big list from Patreon too, gotta fix all the skill sheets too. Somehow in all of this I ended up with 2 Ken Sheets in my notes and both were missing pieces. The notes file for this series is getting a little unwieldy and I sat down here at the end to trim it down and hopefully fix it up.

Nothing major plot wise.

Still, I'm going to take two days and go through the manuscript one last time. Ard's Oath will kick back up on March 4th.

I'm bouncing back from that realization that I was flirting with burnout. Things are more comfortable and I'm even taking some Sundays off!

I forget if I've mentioned it, but I have been invited back to DragonCon this year, so I'll be there.

Art has been a little less frequent, Yanai is working on the KS covers and experimenting with some new stylistic changes. Which I think are fantastic. But I essentially have some Patreon art budget to use.

So I found someone to do a 4 character wallpaper for RD that's being worked on now and if anyone has a style they are burning to see some of my characters in let me know, I'll see if I can't find something in that style.

I'm going to be cutting the Audio change over for DD stupid close, but that's just going to be how it is. DD 203 will come out on the 9th regardless.

DD 204 Ebook looks good for the 9th.

The webcomic has essentially been gutted and restarted by the change in host. There's a heavy sigh in there for losing months of line work. But there was a decent amount of that where we went into colors and realized that there were style adjustments required for it to be colorable.

But I worked with Webtoons on the old one for a while before the decision was made to clear everything and start over. It is hard, but a lot of things have been learned and when I can finally get this out, it will be better for it.

I really thought we were close to launching on Voyce.me, but then that all imploded and I'm deeply sorry for all the delays.
