DD 204 Ch 16
Added 2025-02-08 07:00:09 +0000 UTC"Maybe we don't jump straight to murder," I suggested, glancing at Crimson as I worked my way to my feet.
She waved a hand at me, and blue magic jumped off her fingertips to help accelerate my healing.
"You have healing magic?" I asked, squinting at her, wondering who this woman was before me.
"Of course I do," she replied. "When you have as many resources as I do, why not grab a few emergency spells? Like, what if I needed to heal myself? Or if my Ken was nearly dead?"
"Honestly?" I said, staring back at her. "I kind of thought you were just going to kill me and revive me rather than heal me."
Crimson frowned and looked to the side. "I guess that would have been easier."
A chill went down my spine as I realized she was actually considering the concept.
"But don't worry, I feel wonderful," I assured her, jumping to my feet faster. Between the potion and her healing, I was feeling significantly better. I dusted off my pants to prove to her there was no reason to take any further action.
Crimson grunted. "Well, if you're feeling better, perhaps we could talk about why I came here to find you in that situation. And of course, I still need a name of who is going to die today."
"The long and short of it is that a group of Nekorians, from Felin's homeworld, took her and wanted to use me as incentive," I explained, keeping my voice down and hoping Crimson would follow along. There were no doubt some sharp-eared guards outside.
Crimson waved a hand, and a little bubble popped up around us to silence the area. "Okay. So, we kill some Nekorians," she stated, raising an eyebrow before beginning to stretch herself out.
Her going wild on the safe zone would probably create a giant mess.
"Perhaps bringing you was the wrong idea." I squinted at her, suddenly thinking about my other options.
My mind immediately jumped to Grandpa. If I wanted to be a little more tactful in this operation, he could be a good choice. But he came with his own set of problems. Really, anyone I thought about bringing came with their own set of problems.
I sighed. "Perhaps you could help me be a distraction?" I suggested, giving her a wide smile. "A distraction would be good while Grandpa and I kidnap Felin." That and I wasn’t sure if she could go against the Nekorian shaman.
Crimson nodded along. "Sure, let's get your gramps." She waved a portal and poked her head through for just a moment before pulling it back.
Grandpa shot out, coming to a stop so suddenly his body wavered. "What can I do for you, Crimson?" he asked, only for his eyes to follow over to me. "Oh, it's you.”
“Love you too, Grandpa. Felin is in trouble." I got straight to the point.
"My cute granddaughter-in-law? Never," he declared, puffing his chest up, even though with old age he had shrunk considerably. "Well, then we'll have to pull her out. What's the plan?"
Both of them looked at me expectantly.
And I didn’t immediately have an answer.
I was still coming up with the plan. My mind swirled as I worked through options and settled on one.
"Grandpa, can we bring Grandma Hemi with us as well?" I asked. "I don't know how strong the Nekorians are here, but I think it's enough to say that the second-in-command was level 52. And he was quite reverent to the one in command. There's at least several others in the 50s, perhaps those who have abilities like Crimson and I."
Grandpa nodded along. "With Hemi buffing Crimson, she'd be an absolute monster."
"That's the hope," I said.
Grandpa shot back through the portal and came through carrying a flour-dusted Grandma Hemi who was smacking at his hand. "Be more careful when you interrupt me in the kitchen," she scolded “I have a pie in the oven and you take too long.”
"I'm sorry, love, but it's important. Ken needs us," he explained.
With those words, Grandma Hemi shifted to see me, and a broad smile spread across her face. "Oh. Sorry this isn’t where I thought we were going. Well, if Ken needs us, then of course it was urgent," she agreed, smoothing out her skirt and dusting some of the flour off of her apron. "I assume with Crimson here, she's going to be my priority."
I bobbed my head. "You're going to buff Crimson. Grandpa and I are going to go rescue Felin."
"Rescue Felin. Oh, the poor girl. Has she found herself in trouble?" Grandma Hemi clicked her tongue. "We should do what we can. If it's dangerous enough that you think Crimson needs buffs, then I think this is all we should bring into it. Besides, Charlotte will get the pie."
I nodded along, there were more important things going on than pie, but this was Grandma Hemi.
She was right too, there was strength in numbers, however, sometimes a more focused elite group could get the job done better.
I also knew a worried Charlotte was back home anxious. I couldn’t wait to get back to her, with Felin, and ease her fears.
Hemi turned to Crimson. "My range is limited, but I'm pretty good at moving around quietly."She began to mutter under her breath as a large war banner magically appeared strapped to her back. It gave off the faint glow of magic, which was then echoed on the three of us. The shimmer was reflecting off our skin. The banner continued to change as she added more mana to it. It took up Hemi's mana to constantly put out more of the auras.
Crimson tightened her fist, getting a sense for how it was affecting her.
“Haste and distortion then envenom.” Hemi explained. "You'll poison things that you intend to harm.” She explained envenom. “I can stack regeneration on this as well, once the fighting starts."
"What does distortion do?" Crimson asked.
"You're just a little harder to focus on, dear. To those not also affected, it'll be like you're slightly blurry. For Ken and my husband, it'll have the effect of improving their stealth as well. Their bodies won't be as hard of lines. And of course, they'll have haste to move about quickly. Sorry, dear. I could give you some more specific to your own strength, but..."
Crimson held up a hand. "This is good. Both of these will be a great help." Crimson smiled like a dutiful granddaughter, causing the still flour-covered woman to grin back.
"Well then, time is of the essence. Go," Grandma Hemi clapped before pulling out a bow and placing a dozen arrows on the table.
These buffs would affect grandma as well. And since they were largely passive effects that drained her own resources, she could and would use her hands to contribute another way.
A moment later Grandpa grabbed my arm, zipping towards the back of the prison building. His blade flashed out, cutting a neat doorway in the back.
At the same moment, the front exploded.
Crimson’s battle cry echoed across the space, and the metallic tang of blood filled the air as Crimson let loose.
I activated camouflage, rushing out the doorway and staying as low as I could. Grandpa and I were just two faint shimmers as we darted through the panicked crowd of Nekorians.
Crimson's whip rose above the building before coming back down with a boom. Shouts echoed from around. Powerful Nekorians threw themselves above the crowd and rushed towards Crimson, while those who seemed more like day laborers rushed the other direction.
A red blur darted down the street and exploded against a Nekorian that actually survived the first strike from Crimson. The two of them locked briefly in battle. A dozen exchanges later, the Nekorian went flying as Crimson came out victorious.
Grandpa grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back on task. As impressive as it was to watch Crimson, we were here to save Felin, which meant we needed to get moving.
Amid the chaos, our camouflage worked well.
I retraced the path we had taken towards the shaman’s home. While my face had been being dragged on the ground, it was memorable enough that I didn’t forget. And as I moved, I used [Eyes of Wisdom] to confirm Felin’s current location.
As we approached, I noticed that it was the only area that was peaceful amid the chaos Crimson had created.
Two guards stood at the doorway, arms behind their backs, exuding a ferocity that told me they were a higher level than me.
Grandpa patted my arm before jerking it to the right. I knew he was telling me to take care of the right while he took care of the left. We approached slowly, concerned about the flaw in our camouflage. The ability changed slightly slower than we moved, always causing a shimmer around the edges.
Luckily, while the guards remained stoic, the chaos still reached them. Two Nekorians ran up to them for help, and we had the opportunity to slip around their focus and to the edge of the building. When they resumed their position, looking outwards, we were effectively behind them.
I moved close to the building, waiting for Grandpa's strike to go first and take out the guard, only to realize he was waiting for me.
Stepping to get a good angle, my two swords were swung in unison. I went for speed rather than stealth with the swing, putting all of my strength behind it as I hoped to kill them in a single blow.
The Nekorian twitched, starting with his ear, but he didn't turn in time. One of my blades cut deeply into his neck. His shoulder twitched up, the leather pauldron glancing my blade off and upwards.
As a result, the angle of the second hit wasn’t as I had intended, but it slammed in next to the first. I spun, twisting with my full body weight, dragging both blades along his neck. Blood rushed out from the wound as he staggered.
As the second guard turned, an explosive boom sounded as Grandpa drew his curved blade with such speed that it broke the sound barrier and severed the Nekorian's neck instantly. My target gasped, swinging its spear at me, even as he was clearly dying. He must have had quite a bit of stamina for him to still be alive.
I spun back around, this time with Triple Breach activated. He tried to defend himself with his spear, but he was weakening. The first strike of Triple Breach sent his weapon flying. The second and third chipped away at his neck before I severed it and he dropped to the ground.
Grandpa stood next to me, clicking his tongue. "Sloppy work. You're fighting him like a monster, not a person. We'll have to do some refreshers for you and the girls," he flicked blood off his blade and reactivated camouflage as he opened the door to the shaman's residence.
I activated the ability as well, stepping inside, only to be greeted by a familiar Nekorian.
The Lion who had dragged me across the ground stood there in the center of the entry hall, a grin on his face and his sword out. "Welcome, both of you," he said, throwing an item on the floor that flashed a searing light throughout the entire room.
It barely did any damage, feeling like I had put my hand too close to an oven, but it didn't matter. The ability was enough to break my camouflage.
The Nekorian chuckled. "I knew you'd come back. And you've brought friends," he gestured to the side at Grandpa. "Though that one looks like he's old enough to have one foot in the grave."
"Shut it, young whippersnapper," Grandpa cracked back. "I certainly have enough left in me to put you in the grave."
The Nekorian clicked his tongue, standing far too at ease for someone that just had assassins break in on him.
"If you wanted to fight me, why not fight me a few minutes ago?" I asked the Nekorian.
He grinned, showing off his large teeth.
"That wouldn't be very fair of me, now would it?" He mused. "After all, I'm several levels higher than you, and while I don't like you, you were technically a guest within our camp."
I frowned. "You're too much of an asshole to have a code of honor."
He laughed and threw his head back. "No, I think you'll understand. Well," he hesitated, "you won't get the chance to, so maybe I'll explain it. At this depth of the dungeon, there are certain rules for what you can and can't do. There are many powerful races here who do not take kindly to higher-level bullies who pick on lower levels. The Orkai are one of those, and they are strong enough to enforce their sense of honor on a number of us other races. As for the Nekorians, those who are devout believers in Neko follow their own set of honor. The shamans say that breaking it has an actual effect on how the universe treats you." He shrugged. "Whether you believe it or not doesn't matter. What matters is that those with the authority to enforce it do believe it. However, you're not some low-level guest anymore."
He picked up his sword. "Now, you're a set of home invaders who have attacked my people. In that case, there's no need for someone at my level to hold himself back. No. In fact, if I kill you, I'm now in the right."
I squinted at him. "The Orkai were in the safe zone where we met. That's why you didn't attack us on the way here."
The Nekorian nodded. "That Orkai would have logged the mild disturbance along with both of our faces. If either of us were to disappear, the Orkai would find me and question me. You can’t lie to them. I think you underestimate just how much power stands behind those bald green thugs."
I would have to think about the Orkai later. At the moment, I needed to deal with this Nekorian, get Felin, and get out.
The lion wore leather armor and had a large notched, flanged sword.
As he rushed at me, I tried to think about what type of abilities he would bring out. My blades met his and I stepped back, giving ground so I didn't have to face his full strength.
He was faster and stronger than me. The Nekorian seemed to have a well-rounded stat pool, at least from the physical sense. He fluidly flowed from one strike into the next, forcing me back with each step.
There was a boom as Grandpa's sword appeared to slice through the Nekorian, only for the lion to drop a hand from his large sword as a shield appeared in the other that blocked Grandpa's signature attack. There was a thin scar left on the shield before Grandpa jumped back, readying himself for another strike.
"Careful, old man, you might hurt yourself." The Nekorian pressed after me again, this time using his shield to take up much of the space between us.
It was an offensive use of the shield I'd only really experienced with Helen, where it was used to minimize the space an opponent could swing, thereby forcing the attacker to match the shield bearer's trajectory with their other hand.
It was slightly less effective given the lion’s sword was so large that it was awkward with one hand. His own options were limited, but his reach was not.
Anytime I took a step back, he was able to fully utilize his reach advantage, taking swipes at me without his shield getting in the way. It forced me in where he could dominate the space with his shield and I had trouble staying on the offensive.
Grandpa came back in sporadic booms, scarring the Nekorian's shield and forcing him to use several defensive abilities.
Throughout all of this, the Nekorian never took his focus off me for more than a fraction of a second. His shield stuck to me like a dance partner.
"Grandpa, just go get Felin. She's through that door." I instructed.
The Nekorian wound up a huge slash, and I rolled to the side to avoid it, only for him to pause midway and instead throw his entire weight into me.
I rolled around his shield, but he checked me with it, slamming me against the wall.
He pressed me harder against the wall, and I tried to attack around his shield, only for him to drop his sword and make a fist. Claws sprang out between his fingers as he went for my throat.
I twisted and ducked into his shield to protect my neck, but then he only redoubled the pressure against me and the wall.
Thankfully, it seemed the building wasn't made to withstand a fight, and it cracked beside me. I flipped the grip on one of my swords and stabbed it into the wall before pushing off of his shield as hard as I could.
The wall gave way, and my push against the shield switched to a grip for me to hold on to him, grabbing the edge of it and rolling through the breach in the wall. I curled my legs up and kicked against his hip.
I pivoted my body into a rolling throw as I slammed the Nekorian against the ground. Twisting with long-forgotten muscle memory, I put him and his shield arm in an arm bar and began to flex it, hoping to break his arm.
But I wasn’t able to snap the limb fast enough.
The Nekorian’s built-in claws from his free hand suddenly did significant work as he tore into my leg that was holding his arm down. He even tried to bite a chunk out of me, but I threw my weight to the side, twisting both of us and redoubling my efforts to break his arm. It gave with a sudden, satisfying crack, and I disengaged to save my leg any further maiming.
The Nekorian howled in pain and grabbed a small table from nearby, flipping it and smashing it against me as I regained my footing and staggered to my feet.
His shield arm hung limply to the side. Meanwhile, my blood painted his other arm and his chest. His overconfident grin had changed to something more savage. His cat-like eyes narrowing to the thinnest slits, seething with anger.
I couldn’t help but grin through my own pain, feeling a little light headed from the bleeding and being winded from having a shield crushed against my chest.
He rushed me again with the shimmer of an ability as he closed the gap faster than I expected while punching up. The claws on his hand met my sword, and I cut his hand, but he didn't seem to care one bit.
The hit had been a faint.
He opened his mouth wide and went for the jugular. He had thrown himself so far forward that his whole weight was coming with him.
I instead leaned into him, smashing my forehead into his to protect my neck. Sometimes, offense really was the best defense, not that I didn’t pay for it, stars flashing in my peripheral vision from taking his thick skull head on.
The Nekorian yowled like a pained cat before he hissed and tried to swipe my face off.
"Where's that bravado now?" I taunted him, feeling that he was tilting further and further into this fight. I hoped I could get him to do something more reckless, reckless enough to give me a wide opening.
He didn't stop or think or even respond. Instead, he came at me with a flurry of swipes from his single arm, barely missing me on several occasions.
The hits were close enough that I wondered if Grandma Hemi's distortion had saved my skin more than once. If nothing else, her haste was at least leveling the speed playing field between us.
"What? Cat got your tongue?" I mocked him again when he didn’t speak.
He spun, and in that same motion, a sword appeared in his hand that I hadn't been expecting.
I was forced to block the strike without any backstep to buffer his strength. Instead, both of my feet left the ground, and I found my back smacking against another wall that began to crumble. We had thoroughly destroyed the shaman's home in our chaotic tumble of a fight.

2025-02-09 20:23:59 +0000 UTCYeah, I also noticed they seem to drop off faster, during the UG testing they found it took 6 seconds before he lost a stack, in a fight, 6 seconds is a long time.

2025-02-09 07:17:29 +0000 UTCIt's odd that 15 requires cultivator, while 1-14 and also 16 only require mortal.

2025-02-09 06:50:03 +0000 UTCThis is absolutely personal preference but kidnapped LI’s really leaves a sour taste. I’ll add that Ken’s reaction to it does feel like a break from his actions in previous books

2025-02-09 03:35:51 +0000 UTCI think we’re forgetting how big the stat gap grows between 40 and 50. The lion should have them by a good margin. As for the start with Ken, I don’t know. I get that he realizes the other new races are stronger than humanity is, I just don’t get why he’s so passive overall lately.

2025-02-09 01:12:30 +0000 UTCI am thinking if things are not fixed in the next chapter with Felin back with Ken and Co. I am going to cancel my subscription to patreon. I may even try to get my kindle points back for the others I already got of dungeon diving. Sorry but used plots are already enough but with the missing of plots reminds too much of DJ and SS. Both have unfinished plots that Bruce needs to go back to. So I will wait for the next chapter. If not I will wait until Bruce returns to the better series from before he had.

2025-02-08 20:18:45 +0000 UTCBruce, please eather start and give Ken a set of balls to stand up to the people he meets and not play choirboy in the chatholic church for their priest, or give him an sufficient traumatic expirience ( death of a part of his harem, Death of half of class b) , that He is responsible for with his inactions and bleeding heart, or Kill HIM and give us a new protagonist. He is the worst one you have createt in my opinion. As an alternative to the death of most of his gils, he also could have some massive bleed through from Snusnu and gain the spine he needs to dive the dungeon. Otherwise , you continue to cripple the realy good concept of the series, that his character for me ruins. I can understand the hype around the typical Isekai Protagonist, but after half a dozent books, even they show some growth in charater, and your diassapointment just forgets more and more with every new situation. How can his girls even continue to be with him? Des is a succubus ( or part one) and all he does ist let her wait and play subbi sissy boy for her? He does not deserve even one of his clases, not to mention bouth in that combination.

2025-02-08 19:03:31 +0000 UTCBut is is also like Ken does not want to reach it. He is perpetual in simp mode, and does not want to leave it, istet he seeks situations to deepin it. If he was en emo insteat of a simp, i would think he is the last uchia...

2025-02-08 18:49:57 +0000 UTCI can see that. If following that formula leads to chapters and books that only infuriate or frustrate the reader, the formula is faulty and needs fixing. For inctance, if the undergog-trope is so important, the mc needs to be smart or charismatic, or have any other quality to not simply be crushed by the stronger antagonist. If the mc should have the potential for greatnes, but not yet reach it, maybe don't give him all tools necessary. With all that ken has access to, his weakness and "not yet reaching his potential" is inexcusable. Maybe a fix to the formula would be to allow every player in the story competence and time? Also, isn't the whole point of an undergog-story for the mc to succeed and leave the underdog-status?
Lukas
2025-02-08 16:52:10 +0000 UTCExactly, and even when he does gain stacks, for some reason they aren’t even half as effective as they used to be
Caniner
2025-02-08 16:46:13 +0000 UTCI think the problem is that Bruce tends to shoot past "making the antagonists a challenge for the MC" straight to "make the MC a perpetual underdog" mostly by making the series take place over a relatively short timespan so that the MC is stuck in perpetual noob mode (e.g. Zach from Dragon's Justice, Ard from Ard's Oath, Ken in Dungeon Diving-to a lesser extent), MIles was an exception. It's always mentioned how the MC has amazing potential, but they're never allowed to reach it. Hence why the antagonists are always pulling ahead of the MC (see how the naga and dwarves got thrown to the side despite the buildup for stronger nekorians, orkai, demons, etc.) so Ken is stuck as a hopeless underdog wading into battle against perpetually stronger foes without being given time to train and grow to an actual respectable level compared to his opposition. My point is most of Bruce's MCs don't get time to reach their potential (like you're suggesting) because that's against Bruce's usual story formula.

Chris T.P.
2025-02-08 15:09:17 +0000 UTCOk, I understand the need to make the fight with a antagonist a challenge. But suddenly Ken no longer gains stacks, he forgets he has a dodge ability, he forgets he has shadow ambush, mana burn, and at least half a dozen more combat abilities he does not use, not to mention turning into a total simp. While I can agree on not going all murder hobo on the whole zone due to the consequences with the Oraki, this is so totally out of character for Ken, Grandpa and Crimson.
Mick
2025-02-08 14:58:14 +0000 UTCHere is a thought: If every other race in the dungeon now is stronger and potentially hostile towards the new race, from their perspective, humanity should maybe be smart and fortify their section of the dungeon, train until they can at least hold their own and NOT risk their strongest people needlessly? This would fit nicely with bruces intent to bring the whole school-setting back. Do a lot of basebuilding. Let ken and silver fang take over a safezone and focus on not just getting stronger but SMARTER. This is THE chance to rectify the stupid character-builds! Maybe get an orkai-trainer (or the goddamn angel-girl ) to explain to the humans synergy between classes, skills and tactics. If I give just kens ability-sheet to any half-decent gamer (or rpg-enthusiast) I know they can come up with multiple viable builds. Ways to almost instantly get a lot of stacks to make LS viable. Or find any other exploits I really want to fix this series that I love. By extention all the future titles by bruce. If time is the problem, take more time, but use it to fix what is clearly broken and everyone is screaming about... I think I'll listen to SSV for a bit, just to remind myself of one of bruces good protagonists. (Ken should get a "what would miles mathers do"-yoroi xD)
Lukas
2025-02-08 14:55:46 +0000 UTCIf ken goes into the dungeon, I would expect some brain cells to be active. If he is too weak to protect his own and even endangeres them by still going deeper while underprepaired, he deserves all the beatings and kidnapped teammates. I'm simply tired of the protagonist being inconsistent, stupid and quite frankly a downgrade from book-one-ken. I refuse to be labeled a mere "naysayer", since I point out what I percieve as wrong and frustrating. I like the whole idea of a worlds-connecting dungeon, the execution of that idea and the protagonist are my problem. If he is weak, he needs to be smart, careful and ruthless, if he wants to persist. He isn't, thus he should loose all and die, if not for divine intervention. Same with stats and classes, I love that shit! But the dungeon-college (titular concept of the whole series, btw) has done fuck-all to help build or optimise his "character build" . Ken himself, as pointed out here in the comments already, has no fucking clue of how to utelise his everything into a viable build. But maybe that is bruces intention: to make humanity and ken and crimson, truely feel how stupid they have been? If that is the case then fucking finally! I want the ken back that killed an entire team of stronger divers for merely planning to harm his girl.
Lukas
2025-02-08 14:34:35 +0000 UTCThey went back ‘up’ thru lower level floors to find the sister in this village. The dungeon’s level would be at most the same level as the zombies they first fought.

2025-02-08 13:39:30 +0000 UTCThat I can agree with. Crimson did struggle a little with I want to say lvl 100 orkai when she was instar city but was able to close let's say an almost 30 lvl gap with her limit break and I'm pretty sure it scales with each lvl gained. Liminal speed ik is a stack ability, but the hype for ability to be unique enough from the dungeon as he gets stronger the battles won't really last long enough unless he fights a tank to begin with so he can build up stacks. I don't see him being able to be on par with crimson ever in a short term battle, he did make crimson go all out? with speed I think when she was trying to see his limits. His ability doesn't have a limit if I remember correctly with stacks but they vanish way to quickly to be useful once the fighting slows for a little to long
SiI3nt
2025-02-08 13:35:09 +0000 UTCNot saying a walk over for Ken but for Crimson. Limit Break adds 10's of thousands stats. She could have just straight murdered before she was even noticed. I believe the problem is nothing is moving forward but backwards there are inconsistencies. As well it is reused plots. Enough with wanting to force a women to be with a man. It's been done, if being used again change the reaction. Have Crimson castrate the males until she is returned unharmed.

2025-02-08 13:24:56 +0000 UTChe started out with an advantage at low levels. after the shift, he is now again below level (sometime significantly below level) if like most other games, the delta between 5 levels can be pretty significant. to the point you may not be able to damage them at all. Liminal speed is a stacked ability, takes time to build up. not something that is useful in a fight lasting only a couple of hits (more boss/mob destroyer than 1:1 fight). he isn't all powerful, and i'll guess (as we read) even the murder machine that is crimson WILL struggle even buffed against some of these new races and levels.. people need a dash of humility once in awhile.

2025-02-08 13:23:07 +0000 UTCFor all the naysayers, I’d like to point out that you are missing the point. Safe zone, Orkai-regulated, higher Level 50+ opponents faced by Level 40’s with stealth, and Neko-worshipping shaman with unknown abilities and buffs. Crimson at best is a distraction and likely facing peers, with Ken and Grandpa facing the highest ranked opponents in camp. Why do you expect this to be a walkover by Ken when the dungeon levels themselves were nearly too challenging for Ken’s party? Did you overlook that that these aren’t dungeon monsters that go out in a puff of smoke, but are people in a safe zone under attack? Even if the attack is justified due to the shaman’s kidnapping?

2025-02-08 12:28:11 +0000 UTCAlso it seems that ken is regressing in his progression rather than progressing. That's the major inconsistency

2025-02-08 11:39:51 +0000 UTCI am sorry but with Bruce so far behind in the books for the releases he should be able to alter his books based on what he is being told. This chapter is needless. The chapters have less material than the rest of his series AO and RD. This chapter should have been completed with Felin back in Kens arms.
Aaron Berube
2025-02-08 11:39:02 +0000 UTCThis series is not becoming harder and harder to read with every new chapter. Ken goes from uniqueish to average to common place with his way of thinking and interacting. This chapter in my opinion does need to be rewritten and at some point make his liminal speed ability actually worth it skill slot

2025-02-08 11:38:03 +0000 UTCI guess try force stopping app or reset app, sinc app some how. 124 other people have at least read and liked the chapter.

2025-02-08 11:31:12 +0000 UTCYeah this is getting to be too much hastle Felin should have been rescued and the Nekos stomped this chapter limit break adds tens of thousands stats to Crimson now he makes her seem weak. Not right a could imagine Ken making a request to talk after Crimson has "the Lion" fellow at her feet in front of the shaman and the shaman alllll the other males dead for wanting to force someone. I hate all the wanting of rape...it is the second book of that. Please change this chapter

2025-02-08 10:10:50 +0000 UTCSome inconsistency, On book 5 he copied heal from Charlotte and he's asking Crimson for a heal? Do we even have a list of his current skill list?

2025-02-08 09:43:24 +0000 UTCBruce i am going to be honest, I love the series but ken is way to timid. I would understand if the nekos did all of this because they thought ken was a demon raising their people as brain controlled slaves or if ken told crimson we need to rescue felin first before killing and destroying everything. But this is one time that yes, kill everyone should be the respone. Lion boy and evil shamen lady both told ken they would let lion boy rape feline and turn her into a broodmare for their clan, that can't be walked back.

2025-02-08 09:20:42 +0000 UTCThat's what it looks like. If you log out you'll see ch 15 in the list. Or logged in right now it's not in the main list, but in the browser if you scroll to the top right ch 15 is in the "popular posts" section. Clicking on it asks to upgrade my subscription.

2025-02-08 08:37:56 +0000 UTCI have a question that I asked yesterday, I’m sorry for asking it multiple times. But what ability did he copy from Felin?
Matthew
2025-02-08 08:15:06 +0000 UTCShouldn't liminal speed be picking up?

2025-02-08 08:12:33 +0000 UTCWhat do you mean? I didn’t get chapter 15 either. So I have to go up a tier to get 15 but not 14 or 16?

2025-02-08 08:03:27 +0000 UTCHe swapped hydra for vampire from Ely and there was not an ability from Felin listed in the last statement sheet.

2025-02-08 08:02:40 +0000 UTCSo what abilities did he grab from Fayeth and Elysara? I remember what he gave them but not what he got. If they just start murdering everyone that will probably cause a war between humans and Nekorians. The humans are much weaker and won't know who to trust between the ones they know and the new ones. You cants say Crimson is the answer because we know the other races have people with similar abilities from the dungeon. Yes i know YOU would kill everyone screw the consequences they touched what is yours.

2025-02-08 07:40:04 +0000 UTCFor the guy in the first book that killed a party of his classmates for threatening Fayeth, him being worried about killing these guys doesn't make sense after the kidnap felin and tell him they plan to basically rape her into subservience??? Also as shown in this chapter she can be revived if anything happens why not call in crimson and the whole grandparents party and just wipe the safe zone? Kens build makes no sense to me its just strange, his incubus race feels like it should be a bard with its charm effects, his Emperor class feels like he should be a tank with it's absorb and front line abilities and his liminal speed feels like it should be a monk with how it wants to build stacks as quickly as possible. But he plays as a crit focus assassin. He's become like one of the richest people alive i get not power leveling but why not buy the skills like sonic slash that would allow him to build liminal speed up to the point it isn't only usable against tanky slow raid bosses?

2025-02-08 07:35:45 +0000 UTCI'm a little upset with this chapter. Ken is a trained assassin. They've stolen one of his party, insult almost everyone he knows, and intended to use Felin for children/clout. He should have let Crimson obliterate that whole place. They should be cleaning the floor of blood, and only the male antag, bruised and broken, and the shaman, sans legs, should be left begging for their lives. I don't like what's happened to Ken's character. Bruce got away with his weakness towards the Prince by using SnuSnu as the crutch, but there's no reason now.

2025-02-08 07:33:01 +0000 UTCFor a moment I was worried they'd get the Shitstain Treatment, when can was all worried about killing them causing problems. He is too timid and indecisive again... They took one of his, and basically declared their intent to rape her, brainwash her, and enslave her, and he is worried about how killing them would look to others? He should be worried about how NOT killing them will look. Enemies you spare make plans for revenge Enemies you kill make graves The Nekorian may be a vicious rotten bastard, but he understands that at this point in the dungeon the important thing is to make it appear that you are in the right, even if you are not. Ken has a lot to learn, he is both too cocky and too timid at the same time. #Freedom4Felin #Ami4Harem #Penny4Harem #Tish4Harem #Taylor4Harem #Selene4Harem #Candice4Harem #Neldra4Harem #Felicity4Harem #NoCream4BadKitties #WhereIsAmi?

2025-02-08 07:30:06 +0000 UTCYeah that first line pissed me off, I get it that this shtshow is to show Ken that the rules are different now but why is Ken being such a 🐱 when the nekorians pretty much told him that felin was going to get "re-educated" and breed by a nekorian ?? Doesn't make any sense

2025-02-08 07:26:53 +0000 UTCI'm dorpping this series. Firstly, Ken tried to be diplomatic, again. Secondly, despite him bringing Crimson AND his grandpa, this stupid abduction-event hasn't been resolved OR a true onesided massacre hasn't happened. Thirdly, at this point I don't see how to salvage this story/ series as a whole. I now hate the protagonist. Crimson does no longer deliver like she did in the beginning. Cute, shy druid is no longer shy and thus lost some definig character trait. If you polish off a flaw the character often just gets more bland. The version of catgirl in this entire sentar-verse, I simply don't like. Never, in any sentar-verse-series have I ever encountered any good antagonists, so if they can't propperly challenge the protagonist in any meaningful way (combat alone doesn't count) why bother? Make the MC OP so even there is not a hint of substance, we get to have fun? Fare thee well, you all.

2025-02-08 07:22:03 +0000 UTCRandom question but where was Ken’s ability, he’s fighting constantly but not speeding up at all? Or maybe I misread. Either way it was an interesting chapter, go Bruce!

2025-02-08 07:17:11 +0000 UTCMeh, "maybe we don't jump straight to murder." honestly, Ken is starting to p*** me off with his passive way; it feels like he did have a massive downgrade from the confident "ruthless when he needs to be" character. I can't see him thriving. For florks sake, they just kidnapped one of his harem with the intention to rape her, and he is like: nah let's keep this civil

2025-02-08 07:14:14 +0000 UTCOur bloodlust must be saited, all of them must die! Too much monster killing, and not enough sentient killing! Kill everyone in that safe zone that isn't Ken's! Give no quarter and leave no survivors to tell the tale. Their disappearance shall be a mystery to their people, that will spawn bedtime stories to terrify future generations!

2025-02-08 07:11:10 +0000 UTCAwww man, still got to wait for another chapter for Felin's fate. Hope Grandpa kills her like the assassin he is, but the level difference... Actually what level is Grandpa? Also, very slight typo: "The hit had been a faint" - Its the different kind of "feint" for combat :P But otherwise, yes! Nice Crimson Rampage as a distraction. But I do hope there is a confrontation and/or dialogue with the shaman to make her regret her actions before killing her. To be fair though... Doing a crimson on her by killing and reviving would be a good way to farm XP and punish her...
