DD 204 Story Thus Far

Last time on Dungeon Diving 101, Ken and the others from Haylon Class 1A joined the raid competition on the 32nd floor of the dungeon. It was a different challenge than they had faced thus far, discovering that coordination between 25 people was exponentially more difficult. However, like the all-star adventurers that they were, they quickly adapted to the problems and began to take down multiple bosses.
Ken struggled to balance leading the group and focusing on his own damage. Eventually he found his way as they pushed through the raid.
Prince Albar remained tactful, if aggressive, and Ken cut him slack in hopes of a peaceful outcome. The raid continued until one day, everything changed. The dungeon went through a large-scale shuffle that shifted floors and areas about haphazardly.
Humanity lost a large number of their adventurers in the Dungeon Shuffle and immediately went about finding and bringing them home.
Crimson hadn't been with the Haylon students at the time of the change and found herself busier than ever. At the same time, she blamed SJS Financials for keeping her away from Ken just prior to the dungeon shuffle.
Ken and his class, along with the other dungeon colleges quickly found themselves stuck between Dwarven and Naga forces. Rather than fight either head-on, the students decided to barricade themselves inside the raid. As the monsters continued to level up, the students sharpened their blades and honed their magic, leveling up faster than ever before. Being cut off from any sort of aid only caused them to grow faster amidst their struggles.
Prince Albar had his plan in motion to assassinate Ken and Elysara. The assassination failed, yet Neldra found herself crippled with a poison that she wouldn't be able to heal until she returned to one of the home worlds and found a high-level healer.
Ken didn't want to disrupt the group that was finally working together by killing one of their own, even if the prince more than deserved it. He ended up holding back his blade and his vengeance for later, focusing on the gold he would win if he won the bet with the prince.
Ken and company pushed forward and managed to be the first group to defeat the raid, ensuring that he solidified his bet with the prince.
The students, now significantly leveled up, decided to leave the raid and see what challenges lay for them outside. The Naga and Dwarves were still in heated combat, with the Dwarves pressuring the Naga all the way back to their safe zone.
Ken and company went with an all-in strategy, breaking through the two armies and into the Naga safe zone.
Only for Prince Albar to once again prove to everyone that he didn't deserve to live.
This time, Ken didn't hold back, killing the prince fully justified in front of everyone. At this point, the group had claimed the Naga safe zone and began exploring beyond.
Ken and his party challenged the boss below, only to discover a familiar face. Demon Lord Snu Snu was the boss. Ken’s sealed blood reacted inside of him and allowed Demon Lord Snu Snu to escape into the boss. He challenged Ken once again, only this time, Ken proved to be more than up for the challenge.
Des used a spell from her grimoire to try and give Ken another boost from the demonic blood that had been sealed inside of him. This time, Ken absorbed it fully and came out of a cocoon with white hair and gold eyes, along with a race change.
Even that wasn't the end. Descending through the next set of stairs the party found themselves in an impossible safe zone known as Star City.
This was a twelve-tiered tower, built through seven floors of the dungeon. However, it was not humans who occupied the area.
Instead, it was home to a race of highly intelligent, giant, muscled orcs known as Orkai, and a subservient race of angels with weak constitutions.
Besides the slight blunder of calling an Orkai an orc, they managed to find their way into the city and received the most surprising news yet.
Crimson was in the city, waiting for them at the bar. She had known Ken's whereabouts for quite some time, but due to the rules of Star City, they had to get there first themselves. Crimson received a shock when she found out that Neldra was injured and the other two censors were missing.
With that, they embarking on their next dive into the dungeon with Dungeon Diving 204.
AN - A lot happened last book, but I think I got most of it.

2025-01-23 22:45:48 +0000 UTCThe SJS and the UG both have records, should get paid for both the dps competition and the raid competition. Not to mention how un Crimson like it was allowing SJS lawyers to screw her over.

2025-01-23 20:02:39 +0000 UTCI'm wondering why Star City wasn't ripped apart during the shuffle. Seems like that place would have been ripped into slices.

2025-01-23 19:04:57 +0000 UTCAre we not getting a chapter 1?...

2025-01-23 18:14:07 +0000 UTCThen why hasn't Crimson done it already instead of letting SJS blatantly screw her and Ken over for 2 books?

2025-01-23 16:44:35 +0000 UTCEasy solution once back on earth just wipe out the SJS and take the money!

2025-01-23 15:40:57 +0000 UTC@Adam: Doubt it. The SJS got Crimson to pay reparations for Ken winning the DPS test fr giving Ken a healing potion. No way will they pay up after Ken killed Albar. They will accuse any witnesses to Halyon's victory are biased and they'll accuse Ken of murdering Albar to cover up his loss. Plus Bruce ditched the SJS plotline to focus on the orcs.

2025-01-23 14:22:08 +0000 UTCCan’t Ken get the Ren from SJS and/or the UG? He had them co-sign the contract.

2025-01-23 14:03:39 +0000 UTCFortunately.

2025-01-23 08:48:37 +0000 UTCYep, that basically covers it, other than Felin revealing that the Nekorians lost their Homeworld because of the previous "Great Shuffle", indicating it's happened before. I'm looking forward to the next book!

2025-01-23 07:43:31 +0000 UTCQuote: "He [Ken] ended up holding back his blade and his vengeance for later, focusing on the gold he would win if he won the bet with the prince." - But Ken (completely predictably) did not get any gold because Albar didn't hold up his end of the bargain and tried to kill Ken, forcing Ken to kill him in the dungeon, with the rest of Royal College attacking the other colleges under Albar's direction. So the stupid bet and letting Albar repeatedly attack them without retaliation in order to get the gold from Albar and keep the peace with Royal College was (again, completely predictably) for nothing.
