Disclaimer: Don't worry, I won't spam you with vegan stuff but I also wanted to give an explanation why I created this photo in the first place and I really wanted to share the uncensored version here as well!! ^^ Hope you enjoy it. :D
Good evening y'all! As I mentioned earlier this year, I want to connect my art with my values, and Veganism is a very important topic in my life. So I hope you don't mind if I share my thoughts on this with you here, too! <3
Veganism is not just a diet, it is by definition a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. It's a way of living where you align your morals ('I love animals') with your actions, but when it comes to daily choices, most people might not see the connection between the final product in the supermarket shelf and the individual animal that died in a 'humane' way for their food yet.
So, let's talk about ethics here: To examine whether something is humane first determine if you would want it done to you. When people see videos of the inside of slaughter houses, they mostly don't like it, because it's cruel, especially when you think about the fact that this is all legal practice. Nobody would want that done to themselves or their friends and family, so how do we morally justify it, especially when it's so unnecessary nowadays, since the human body is designed to survive on a vegan diet?
Living on a plant-based diet provides you with all necessary nutritions and in fact, the cheapest food you can buy is potatoes, beans, rice, seeds, seasonal vegetables and fruits, and so on. All plants contain for example protein (we feed live stock animals with plants, because they need protein, too), so why not getting the best fuel for your body directly from the source, which is plants? Why contributing to a system that breeds billions of animals per year into existence, just to kill them in the end? I really want you to know that I'm not judging anyone who's not vegan yet, but I want to educate you on that topic because it's important and every single one can vote for or against animal exploitation on a daily basis. Besides that, it's also massively affecting the climate, but more about that later.. Thank you so much for reading this, stay healthy and fit,
much love xx
