OLDIE BUT GOLDIE
Added 2019-06-25 15:11:04 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I'd like to surprise you today with my very first self timer set that I shot back in 2017! Of course I took pictures of myself way before that, but always just for one selfie, not for an entire set like this.
I can remember this day as if it was yesterday; there was a David Bowie exhibition in Berlin that I visited and it got me inspired. David Bowie was not only an artist, but art himself, so I looked at my camera and thought "why not?", put it at the end of my bed and began to shoot. After checking in on the first pictures I was surprised about how they turned out. Interesting angle and pretty awesome light, so why not continuing?! After a few minutes it got very hot (every self timer shooting is a workout) so I undressed and didn't stop to press the shutter. Turned out these photos kind of changed my way of working, of capturing myself and others.
I think shooting with a self timer is very private, because you see that no one else is involved (usually) and not knowing how the poses and pictures in general will look like makes it also very thrilling!
Now I hope you enjoy these photos :) This is where my self timer journey began. Since most of them are already on instagram I figured, why not sharing it with the First Floor members as well, plus some extra photos that are not on instagram ;) Plus you'll see my cat Hokus jumping in on the set. I love him more than anything!
