2024-09-18 18:39:07 +0000 UTCHow about analyzing Treach and Vinnie from Naughty by Nature. It's not just Hip Hop Hooray. Early 90's. Me and Adam kid at 11 or 12 were first people in the schools ordering unknown CDs via BMG music. In that time you ordered CDs blindly unless you went and bought wax for DJ'ing. Ice Cube on Lethal Injection album was hard. As a white boy, some West Coast hip hop were lessons of what wasn't happening in my neighborhood. Young Jeezy and T.I. in the Trap came later. UGK was awesome as they have track 6 or 7 dedicated to telling peeps to turn over the cassette to catch 2nd half of the album. Ridin' Dirty. Great memories... Bars happened but not like some of the recent generations. Nas came before Jay-Zs 96 album Reasonable Doubt. 22 twos has bars as most of that first album. You could always do some video reactions to The Beastie Boys. Paul Revere, or Shake your Rump. They have wild videos. Rick Rubin helped with a lot of their songs. I'll quote the young rapper Ahmad, "Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore But some days I sit and wish I was a kid again." I'm out. Hopefully someone relates to their early years and first CDs you bought or blindly bought at the electronic store.

2024-09-17 22:36:58 +0000 UTC9:48 no ll was saying "you know what? congrats" was like him saying you worked hard, you pushed for it...so congrats you deserve it! It's a type of "slang" people say down where LL is from. They say it a lot like "you got that job? You wanted it so badly, so you know what dog? Congratulations!" Its positive

2024-09-17 21:54:29 +0000 UTCThe word you’re looking for in Marshall’s case is polarizing. As polarizing as Marshall was still fanboyin out over LL

2024-09-17 20:02:36 +0000 UTCCan't believe it's been that long. I don't think that you were missing anything I think that LL didn't know what else to say in that moment without dragging on the the interview too much.

2024-09-17 20:01:08 +0000 UTCI think this came out in 2008 maybe, because he was trying to get his career back up with relapse, and LL Cool J was promoting a album, and working on a show that just ended two years ago
