I think for the son a mother is important during his kid years, but when it comes to his teen years a father is needed more so he fully knows what a man is, and should be. Same with the daughter. I think it's more important for a father to be there early in her life, but the mother is needed in her teen years for when she becomes a woman, and to teach her how to be a lady. Now I'm mostly giving examples if you come from a broken family. If you have both parents and their relationship is still good in front of their kid then that's very important, because son or daughter or both; it shows what a real man is, what a real woman is, and what a real relationship is. That's how kids continue to carry that on in the world by looking for a man who treats her like her father treats her mother, and the son looks for a wife like how his mother is a wife to his father. They don't have to have the same personality (that's creepy) they just have to love them. To answer your other question about the "Freak" bar he was talking about "Freak like me" by Adina Howard
