Was it actually, though? Haha, if it was then that was extremely tepid. No hard R plus supported by statistics, thus I shrug my shoulders. But it wasn't my intention to imply you shouldn't be offended if that's what you were getting at. You can be offended at anything you want, no prob w me; stoicism is a slavish mentality that only Anglo landed gentry can pull off.
As far as le racisme in Normie sphere goes, OK fine if it's something one can get their twitter/x account suspended then I'll agree but this hm...

This topic is interesting to me because I grew up with a lot of black and Mexican friends and we all said it to one another. It just was what it was, and there was no weirdness or second thoughts about it. It’s not something you go around saying to just anyone as it’s reserved for close friends anyways, but now, it seems like a lot of the younger generation have steered away from using it completely- even w their homies. I’m not sure if I was just running with a different crowd or what… but as far as Eminem goes, that first clip was derogatory and fucked up.

It's just a word... words aren't something physical that can do anything to you the only power they have is what you give them idk why people are so scared to say words these days. I'm white and say what up nigga to black guys on my crew at work probably a few times a week, We all make the stereotypical racial jokes to each other and find them hilarious because we all have the same mentality and know it's just a word that literally has zero effect on anything, because you know... its a word and isn't an actual real thing.

Idk i just watched the video again, she said the word like 3 times before Kendrick stopped the music. It wasn't until the crowd (which was mostly white) started booing her that he stopped the music, they just got louder after he did. I think he was doing her a favor. He was actually pretty nice about it and let her finish the song. It was the white guilt cucks in the crowd that made it weird but people like to blame Kendrick for that situation

It's funny to think about because Eminem not only writes for Dre but usually lays a reference verse over the beat for Dre to listen and copy his cadence. How many times you think Em has been in the booth just saying nigga every 10 seconds while a whole group of black dudes are in there noddin their heads like "yeah this shit hard" lol

My wife doesn’t like that word either so when I’m rapping along to a song I don’t say it. When I was younger I said it but that’s exactly how it was taken was I didn’t care about how others felt and honestly it wasn’t that deep to me. I wasn’t using it derogatory or anything in my car rapping along that’s it but like I said I understand so I don’t have haven’t for almost 20 years

There was a clip going around a few years ago of Kendrick getting a fan up on stage, a white girl. The song she was rapping to had the n word in it & she said it. He stopped the music & called her out for it. Her response was something like “I was saying what you wrote”, the crowd all started booing her until she left the stage.
I get what he was saying but also felt for her. What should have been an amazing moment for her- being up on stage with an artist you love enough to pay to go see, turned into something she’ll remember as being an awful experience.
It’s not for me to say if he was in the right or not, but it is a real world example of a divide created by music that should have brought that crowd together?

I don't fuck with Steven Crowder any more after the video clips of him being a complete dickhead to his pregnant wife but this brings up the debate about what he said with authors of books that use the N word and whether kids should read that word in class if they're supposed to read out loud and shit. The author wrote it that way to convey a specific message and make people feel a certain way about certain topics (Tom Sawyer/huck finn, etc) so are you doing the author injustice by not reading it the way it was intended? Does that same thought process carry over to music? Just some food for thought. It's crazy how there's ONE word in the English language that can cause such a commotion one way or the other. 🤷

You're amazing 😍🤩 Love you! I really didn't think it was Eminem but ig it is however I know how much he gives back and respects the culture. Like you said it's not with ill intent. This is over 25 years too 🤔🧐 I can't tell you how much I appreciate you truly!
