Just as with Freight I’ve been dragging my feet on drawing Jericho in the new b&w sketch style in clip, because I’m worried he’ll be too difficult for me. A lot of my recent avoidance of drawing the big red guy (and Roscoe too) has been because drawing the super-thick musculature feels stifling when it comes to poses… like they have to be more rigid, less flexible, less soft and alive feeling. Freight is big and muscular but I imagine him slinky, for being so long and a dragon; I get to just make stuff up for him and put him in whatever pose. But Jericho is just a stretched out humanoid with a lot of bulk— same with Roscoe! I love them both dearly but I think something‘s gotta give if I want to keep drawing them regularly. I have to just be willing to make them softer for the sake of the realism that I want— buff people aren’t flexing constantly, right! I’ll try it soon. See what happens. *nodding*

anyway I’m going to be crunching when I get back home from the holiday weekend. I have a mini campaign session to run and then I’ll be able to squeeze in the final November headshot and maybe some more freebie sketches! didn’t get to do as much as I wanted to this month for spending time on Big commissions + other life things in the way.
