Another book, another cover in high res. I know only a few people care about these, but they're here anyway.
I've had a few people ask me who's on this cover (seems to happen with every cover, but this one especially surprised me). Given there's only one Chinese-coded trigem Champion who wears cheongsams (even if this is stretching the definition of cheongsam, but my artist is Chinese American, so I throw that to her), I figure this should obviously be Seraph. I even think she's worn ones described with the phoenix pattern before, and her tonfas are in frame.
Seraph has been deserving of a cover for a while, so even if this isn't necessarily "her" book, she got one. And she get something fairly important during the book, so it fits imo. Especially as it's not like I could have put Ciana on the cover given she just lost an arm.
Design-wise, this cover does break with the "thighs-up, half-body" silhouette that the rest of the covers in the series have. I vary things up in Neural Wraith and Mob's covers, but this one stands out as noticeably different in the series lineup, even if it looks great. I initially tried zooming in, but the color balance was really off, as it relies heavily on the trailing green elements of her dress to offset the strong warm tones of the center of the cover.
Anyway, hope you're enjoying the book if you're reading or rereading it.
