A cover that a few of you have seen before, but here's the official preview post.
Helena is the cover girl. This is her interface, the Exarch V3 that she's been installed into between Book 2 and Book 3. As the last book featured some shopping stuff about it, I figured that skipping over the installation process would be fine (as it wouldn't really benefit the book, compared to Helena having a physical presence). Instead I'll use Helena's new body to give her "adjustment" scenes, as well as show what she's like now she can be a little clingy to Nick when he's in the office.
As always with this series, there's a full jacket version for the physical copies. This one will feature the rest of the office.
My original idea for this cover was actually a little different. I wanted Helena sitting in the window frame itself, rather than inside the office. When it came to the Altnet book in the series and her role in it, she becomes Nick's connection between reality and Babylon's virtual underbelly. I think she mostly comes across as a hot secretary or femme fatale, with cyberpunk-in-rain background - it still looks really nice, but it contrasts really strongly against the Kushiel and Ezekiel covers which look fantastic and are on theme.
WIth that said, I'm still extremely happy with all the covers in this series.
