June Public Update
Added 2022-06-06 00:01:00 +0000 UTCThis is technically my public June author update, but it’s mostly just release date announcements. So let’s jump right into it.
- My next book, Neural Wraith, will be out on the 12th-14th of this month. It’s a harem cyberpunk detective novel, and it’s been a ton of fun to write. The stakes, scope, and size are smaller than my fantasy works, but I think it’s still a fantastic book. I’m just finalizing the book now, so you can look forward to a release post shortly.
If you're reading this, you probably have access to the early chapters if you want to read them. Also check out the Patreon cover post if you missed it. - Heretic Spellblade 5 and 6 have been chugging along slowly behind the scenes. I tentatively plan to release these in August and September. These two books are effectively one larger book split in half (because my original plan for Spellblade 5 was too big), so they should be a fun ride when they come out but are also a lot of extra work for me.
- If you missed it, Demon’s Throne 1 is out in audio format. Check it out on Audiobook Guild if you’re interested. Book 2 should be out relatively soon.
Finally, I know a few people will be worried about the fact I’m starting a new series. Neural Wraith is the only new series I’ll start this year. However, I am rapidly wrapping up Heretic Spellblade - my intention is to publish the last book (Book 7) around Christmas/New Year. I ended up writing Neural Wraith as a way to keep my creative juices flowing, as I’ve written a lot of fantasy in the last 18 months and wanted to do something different. It’s been great for me, and I hope it’s also a fun read for most of you.
I didn't talk about the Demon's Throne audio release or Audiobook Guild stuff here. There's not too much to add that I haven't said elsewhere. It's difficult to give my full thoughts on the situation without breaking my personal rule of avoiding gossip or drama about other authors, because the audiobook sphere in harem is full of that stuff (I mean, self-publishing is full of that stuff, really. It reminds me a lot of being in management consulting.) I've tried to avoid a hard sell, so I'll leave you to your opinions on it.
With that said, see you all in a week when Neural Wraith is out.
