New Month, New Goals

Cat Shenanigans

Last week I was making lunch after doing some work, and one of my cats was at my feet begging for some treats. I wasnt watching where he was exactly, but as soon as my foot stepped on a cat toy my brain thought "THATS HIS TAIL/PAW" and I jumped so high to avoid hurting him. I turn around and hes on the table looking at me as if going "yeah I dunno what that was, anyway GIMME FOOD"

This month started a little rough for me. My partner and I had to take a trip with his family to see more family and it was a stressful time for all, but we pulled through together ✊

More drawings I did for my zorca blog, having fun with story threads and spoiling myself by drawing my characters. Doing story/RP threads on my blog was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Which is funny because another friend once said that my account gave them the impression of an RP blog (affectionate). Since then I started doing prompt lists/asks and it's been fun to see other blogs doing the same!

Paprika - Seismic Activity

We're working on the next chapter of our Tales of Hyrule series and the next chapter focuses on Sardon and Sona. This particular piece doesn't happen in the chapter but it came about from some jokes Dwickery, Werewolfsister and I were tossing around. Potential ship shenanigans

With permission I drew these pictures which feature a character named Nerissa who belongs to Myz-Wykkyd. A previous post showed Fat Fin was looking to court her. They haven't had a chance to really get to know one another besides the initial back and forth flirty banter, but I wanted to doodle something to see how a dynamic might work. Looking forward to how things develop!

Shrimp Heaven

This was a little unhinged story Dwickery came up with and I wanted to illustrate it and make a post on my tides blog. He and I were talking over dinner one time about a completely unrelated topic regarding someone Cironus dated, who was a blue ringed octopus. He made the joke that "what if Cironus did die and a fairy saved him OH NO I KNOW WHY THAT'D HAPPEN"

And the idea was that the fairies you see in Legend of Zelda are basically the ghosts of fairy shrimp TA-DA

Stuff in the works

Here are a few things I'm working on regarding my Tide's blog. Some of these will pop up or already have appeared on the queue I set up there. I mentioned in a previous post about doing things for fun and catering to myself but I still have that battle with myself that I gotta do my best for others. I want to reply to some fun RP threads that started up, participate in monthly challenges, and create character directories! Granted Im not pressured to, that's what I keep telling myself!

Gift hunting with Fat Fin

As previously mentioned, Fat Fin is looking for gifts to send to Nerissa, you know, just doing basic courtship stuff :> He went diving for sunken treasure to pay for some deliveries (featuring werewolfsister's Xochitl) then ran off to collect other things such as dragon scales, precious stones and a falling star!

He'll be knocking at Nerissa's door again soon 👀

Receiving Letters

This picture was inspired by an interaction between Fat Fin and a lovely narwhal OC named Nerissa who belongs to Myz-Wykkyd! It started out as an ask meme prompt of Fat Fin sending her a love letter. Then she sent him a gift so Fat Fin has been going across Hyrule collecting gifts for her. I found one of those vintage pin up poses of a woman reading letters and thought it was fitting!

More zorca shenanigans

Im slowly working on character bios to post on my Tides blog. It's slow going because writing takes me a long time to do, and I get hung up with wanting to make new art for information posts like that. I gotta remind myself I'm not on a deadline! 👍This is for fun and that fun is specifically catered for ME!

Tales from Hyrule: Chapters 5 & 6

Been busy the last few days drawing and personal life wise. The month is coming to a close and despite doing my fair share of doodles Im feeling a little scatter brained! Last week my partner and I did two chapters for our story and had a small hiatus while we ran a poll for the next part of the story! The poll ended and the path has been set so we're ready to continue!

Ive been exchanging ideas with a friend every so often and my brain has been zooming with the scenarios that have been spilling forth.
