2023-07-02 16:36:58 +0000 UTCMeet cute on a cruise ship. Girl (maybe nerdy) accidentally drops her phone from a higher deck almost hitting the listener. Unfortunately its broken, turns out she was trying to double-check if this was a whale watching cruise, which was the only reason she went o the cruise in the first place. The Listener doesn't know but suggest asking staff/info desk. We find out its not a whale watching cruise, so to cheer the girl up, the listener suggest going to the gift shop to look at whale postcards and sea animal toys. It's kind of a lame substitute, but she feels a little better and starts talking about how much she loves marine stuff and her dream of being a marine biologist or wanting to scuba dive around the world. We've made our way back outside by the railing looking out at the ocean, it's lightly raining now, which you'd think is kind of a downer, but she's happy about getting to see the view of rain in the middle of the sea. Then! We see whales, wooo \o/ lol too convenient? maybe some dolphins show up. Sorry if is too detailed or not enough. Mostly, I just like meet cutes and find cruises wild/interesting. (The irony of -a person who loves the ocean is on a cruise ship, which are really bad for the environment- is not lost on me...but my loophole is that she mistakenly booked this cruise thinking it was a whale watching boat)
