2025-10-07 21:53:21 +0000 UTCYeah, when you properly think about it, Helm's Deep did have a lot of flaws in its design. I think it was probably outdated, and Rohan never had the resources to upgrade it. That's my thought at least. But yeah, the wall defences in this episode were a treat to watch.

2025-10-06 07:29:36 +0000 UTCBecause I am such HUGE LOTR fan, this is painful to say. King Thรฉoden stretched the truth when he insisted he knew how to defend his keep. As awesome as the battle at Helm's Deep was, there really were no defenses. Yes, there were a couple of walls and they had some archers and a few soldiers dropping rocks, but that doesn't cut it when you know enemies can build ladders. Where was the burning pitch, moats, and catapults? Point being, at least GOT gave a nod to some expected wall defenses.
