SATEC: Chapter 1 - Progress Report: 3

Greetings!

An update on the current progress towards a Chapter 1 release.

Anything in bold is what's changed since the last Progress Report.

Story:

Mostly small things after going through it with a fresh set of eyes, fixing a few existing CG's, adding a few effects and for one CG I ended up reworking entirely as I was not happy with it.

Dialogue = 95%

Assets = 90%

----Side story and content----

Completed 2 optional side story backgrounds.

Dialogue = 20%:

Assets = 60%

The animation is now complete. It took me longer than I hoped, mostly due to render times which have been getting ridiculous.

My ancient hardware is really showing it's age, so I'm saving up for an upgrade as this is currently the biggest time sink by far.

I've had an idea for an optional CG I wanted to add but I'm not sure how it'll translate into being animated. So if it seems to be working well, I'll share more on it, otherwise I'll have to change it. But for now I'll leave this as a mystery until I'm certain on what it'll be.

I've had to re-write how a few things work, which means unfortunately old saves won't work. I'm not happy about it, but best it's done now rather than later. I've tried to make sure I won't have to do this in the future, fingers crossed. I'm also considering adding a chapter select with all the meaningful decisions for those just wanting to go straight into chapter 1.
