Patron Release | Feb. 2021 | Excesapet, the VRChat Virtual Pet System

Hi, patrons! 

This month, I bring you a fully functional(hopefully) virtual pet for your VRChat avatars!

This functions similarly to the old Tamagotchi games of the late 90s, if you remember those, and infact, if you can't tell, is totally *not* heavily based off of them.

XSFur 2.0 update

Hi all! Been awhile, but I'm here with some new stuff!

This is an update to XSFur - and fixes a lot of bugs. Some features (such as toon shading / transmission) are currently missing, and some wont be making a return (such as the fake light direction)

Toon shading / Transmission will be re added tomorrow (ran out of steam today), and will be posted as a 2.0.1 update!

Patron Release 11/5/2020

This months release includes two things!

The first thing is an Avatars 3.0 update for the Block Pen shader that I released awhile back. This streamlines the process of placing blocks, and makes it so that its all through the AV3 menu. Now, you may be asking "But Xiexe, what about our custom animators, won't it be annoying and hard to set both up!?"

Patreon Release : September 2020 : Locomotion, Visemes, and More!

This month's Patreon release includes more than usual --

With the release of Avatars 3.0 on VRC, I realized a few things:
1) Avatars 3.0 is pretty good, opens a lot of stuff to the user.

Patron Shader | 8/6/2020 | Block Pen

This release is a geometry shader that allows you to draw in blocks.

Included is a texture sheet that resembles the Minecraft textures.

This will require a bit of setup, so I'll detail how to get this working on your avatar now:
1) Put the prefab under the root of your hierarchy (it's in the prefab folder!).

2) Right click prefab, unpack.

Patreon Shader 1/6/2020 | That Playstation Mood / Announcement

GREETINGS PATRONS!!

Patreon Shader 12/6/2019 | Grass Grass Grass! Edition

Hello cuties!

Today is finally the day - the day that the grass becomes available to all.

I will warn you all now, this should be used CAREFULLY and in moderation.

Do not expect to just be able to have a bajillion blades of grass with no performance cost!

While I've optimized as much as I can, the shader is still always going to be a fairly expensive effect, and you'll likely have to optimize around it for larger scenes.

Patron Shader Release : 11/6/2019

Hey hey! Patrons! It's time for the good old Tamag--- I mean, XSGotcha treatment!

You all know what this is, it's a virtual pet to emulate the likes of Tamagotchi, for VRChat!

It does have support for custom sprites, as well as an included Photoshop template to make your own shell skins!

Inside the Sprites folder is Instructions.txt - that is for creating your own sprite sheets! Trust me, it's different than you think, but still pretty easy! Enjoy!

Patreon Shader: 9/6/2019 - Geometry Dissolve

This shader is a fully lit geometry based dissolve shader!

Along with having toon lighting and standard lighting you get a really neat dissolve effect with a few different modes, all that can be controlled by an animation for those fancy spawn in effects or gestures in VRC!

Patron Shader - 8/6/2019

This month, I've taken the time to make a raymarching shader. This is a bit different from the stuff I've posted before, however it's still very cool and sure to catch a few eyes!

It's a raymarched sword. This means you can do cool things, like shift the shape around and other weird things like that.

Currently it has two shapes, the core collapsed version, and the sword fully extended.

Patron Supporter Listing changes!

As of recently, I've moved to using my Discord bot to keep track of who is and who isn't a patron, for a multitude of reasons.

The first being that working with Patreons API to make a list of Patrons in the Unity Editor is super annoying, as the best way I found to do it was download a csv file containing a list, and that comes with it's own issues, which leads me to my second reason.

Patreon Reward Shader (5/24/2019, but one day late)

I know! I know! I'm a day late! Cut me some slack, or yell at me for being a day late on Discord, that's fine too! 

Anyways, this months patreon reward is a voxelization shader. 

The way this shader works is by picking 3 points within each triangle on the model and then generate a cube there, and snaps the cubes to a grid in the world. (Think Minecraft)

Updates to Patron reward tiers! (I.E. actually utilizing my patreon)

 I've decided that I'm going to make the 5 dollar tier and higher eligible to get a reward of (monthly?) fun to play around with, smaller shaders.   
This will start today, with a new shader set I'm dubbing "Cyber Geometry."

Paid shaders, and the future.

As some are now aware, I've released a paid shader today.

This doesn't mean all shaders will be paid in the future. Only some.

That being said, I want to make it clear that beta testers (and by extent patrons) will get all shaders for free even if they are something I'm selling, as they are either showing support by donating already, or they're helping me test while a shader is in development.
