Once a dictator of the Republic of China, now forced from the capital by nationalist Chiang Kai-shek. That is until an explosion on the tracks rips the train apart. With blood on the railway and Zhang mortally wounded he questions why he was betrayed by his ally Japan.

A nice, short one for you dudes today; I'm still playing through Hearts of Iron IV as Japan at the moment, hunting for other alternate history ideas set in this time period. 1908 In the Kingdom of Great Britain, Scottish ~ Born Future Inventor John Logie Baird tries to Volunteer for Service in the British Army but is Classified as Unfit for Active Duty. 1911 15th November In the Japanese Empire, Journalist and Politician Nagayama Yoshida makes a Speech before the Lower House of the Imperial Diet Denouncing the Government for Underestimating the Power of the People and Inviting Prime Minister Katsura Tarō to Resign Immediately. On his way Home, Yoshida is Arrested by the Kenpeitai without Charges and Tortured for Two Weeks over his Alleged Anti ~ Imperial Activities. News of the Arrest Triggers a Massive Amount of Protest from the Citizens and from Parliamentarians over what they View as a Breach of Parliamentary Privilege. 1912 16th December In the Japanese Republic, a Unit of is Ordered by President Nagayama Yoshida to March from the City of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, to a Hill Province in Hokuriku-dō. 1913 26th October In the Inca Empire, the Inca Empire Recognises the Republic of Japan. 1936 4th February In the Japanese Republic, Learning that the 1st Division, to which many of the “Imperial Way” Officers belong, is going to be Transferred to Manchuria in the Spring, the “Imperial Way” Faction, who have long Supported a Violent Uprising against the Government, Decides to Act as it Means that, if the Officers do not Strike before then, any Possible Action will be Delayed by Years. 26th February is chosen because the Officers have been able to Arrange themselves and their Allies to Serve as Duty Officers on that Date, Facilitating their Access to and Ammunition. In the Japanese Republic, the Japanese Nagasaki-Taipei Convoy is Attacked by a U-Boat while Sailing through the Formosa Strait, but only One Transport Ship is Sunk. 5th September In the Arab and Islamic Kingdom of Hejaz, under Pressure from the British, King Zeid ibn Hussein of Hejaz Severs Diplomatic Relations with Nationalist Germany. 1945 In the Byzantine Empire, the First Commercially Successful Arcade Video Game, “Colosseum,” is Introduced by a Computer Company in Byzantium. I know you've been focusing on domestic policy and the internal mechanisms over external pressures, But Korea was formally annexed in 1910 and was under major Japanese influence for decades before that. By this point Korea is being used as an Industrial and agricultural engine that is helping to power this growing Japanese army, while effectively being under Japanese military rule. I'm guessing you cut it because of time restraints? well, here's hoping to see more about this in Lies.
