Fixing Broken Politics - Never Going To Jail - Extra Politics

I wonder if banning the president from future elections could be seen as a less instant, but still dramatic punishment to be used as an alternative to Impeachment. Though a large part of the problem is the two party system breaking a lot of systems, even a basic majority would require “traitors”, from a party’s point of view.

"The court has made its ruling. Now let them enforce it." The executive branch is responsible for carrying out punishments. It would take a 2/3 majority of Congress to find them in violation of the constitution. As a practical matter I'm not sure you can actually force them to punish someone. Just as prosecutors have controle over who they prosecute. Even if you force them to show up, they might not necessarily do a good job. Raises the question of how the legislature and judiciary actually do limit the executive, because everything they do is just a parchment garunty. Something worth exploring in a video. Everyone know separation of powers works. I'm not sure if people understand why it works in practice. What would actually stop an executive coup.
