There has been a lot of references to Tulsa and Rosewood in the last month and we wanted to expand further on what The Tulsa Massacre was about.

And I'm white.

Bill Lemmond

White people messed me over, from first grade, into 30 years' clinical depression, wishing for a terminal illness. I want to make several time travel trips, back to Tulsa, with a helicopter gunship, and wipe out thousands of mean white people. And I'm white

Bill Lemmond

this situation, the battle of Athens, and the second massacre at Wounded Knee are all "controversial" situations our history teachers never seem to have gotten around to. I think this shows the whole "those who forget history" thing, since we're doing it again :(

Is there any chance- -- perhaps during next February's Black History month -- you could cover The Negro Motorist Green-Book? It, too, would drive home to the unaware the pervasive racism that is so large a part of America, past and present. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Negro_Motorist_Green_Book https://transcription.si.edu/project/7955

This needs to be shown to all the crypto-racists out there who yearn for "the good ol' days." As a history addict, I was vaguely aware of the massacre, but the video really drives it home.

The (white) power structure failed me, starting in first grade, over 50 years ago. I'm already familiar with what happened in and around Tulsa, the mass graves, the very late investigations. I just want to go back in time and counter-massacre the people I don't consider my fellow white people. I want to stun them all and feed 'em through a wood chipper, and call it affirmative action. Mean people cost me 30 years of my life, and the rest hasn't exactly been great, in the back of the bus.

Bill Lemmond

Thank you for covering this.

Øyvind Wallentinsen

Thanks EC for great content like this.

Emmanuel Flores

This is probably going to be controversial over on YouTube, but I am thankful you are covering these topics.

Martin Verran

I thank you for making this, as I, too, did not have this covered in my history classes.
