The Polish are determined to make Poland matter on the world stage, and they will not wait for whatever mercies may come from the Russians. So the Home Army stages their own uprising to liberate Warsaw, and for some 60-odd days, their strongest members, the Grey Ranks, tragically held steadfast.
Hello, I am an avid viewer of Extra History. The “trade war” between Japan and South Korea is intensifying and relations between North Korea and the United States is breaking down to the point that North Korea has already launched two short ranged missiles and they may launch more. Also, the conflicts in India are getting worse. Many people there are wanting to launch a nuclear strike at Pakistan. In the past week alone, South Korea and the United States have been conducting military exercises in South Korean waters, North Korea has launched two ballistic missiles, and India has successfully test fires a quick reaction surface to air missile. I would like to know your thoughts on the subject.

My Paternal line were Farmers in Sussex or Essex; the story is the Verrans are Descended from Two Migrant Brothers from either Spain or Portugal, and another story states at least One of our Ancestors served in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. My Maternal Ancestors were Irish Farmers who migrated first to Scotland in the 1840s to Escape the Potato Blight and then eventually ended up in London ~ we were able to use the Census to trace their Movements across Scotland and England.

I know several of my family members were displaced after WWI and WWII prior to the birth of my mother in Sopot, Poland in the 1950s. So many gaps in our family history on my Polish side!

After the War. many Polish Exiles who had Escaped to Britain in 1939 found they couldn't Return Home ~ the new Soviet-Backed Polish People's Republic didn't want them Back, believing they had been Corrupted because they had fought for a Western Power, leaving them stuck in a foreign country.
