Quantum Computing - Spooky Action at a Distance - Extra History - #4

What happens when we can't link physical cause and effect between two actions? Well, quantum bits (or qubits) do this all the time. Let's look into how quantum entanglement can be used in computing.

I look forward to using this series to start a more detailed conversation at the Hack RVA workshop club. And we'd love it if James visited, but part of being the cheapest maker space in at least several states is ... that we're probably too poor to cover your costs. Meanwhile, we can still enjoy your videos. And I especially enjoyed the subtle suggestion that your lights are on a clapper. ;)

I donate so you don’t have to ^.^

Fuck I rrreeaaally want to donate D; too bad im still a kid

Rabbacake

I understand what you mean but no. It doesn't work that way. Keep in mind that those videos are a very simplified version of the actual science.

Marc Langlois

Actually, I have a question - since space and time are one thing, wouldn't quantum entanglement simply be an expression of that? That "spooky action at a distance" is simply a reflection casuality in spacetime? Am I making sense?

ow that last pun that really hurt

Cj

The puns were the scariest part of this

This is making my brain hurt, but Matt is making it all fun!

Number puns leave me PI eyed.

Seems I have a Choice Tonight between this, the new Extra Mythology thingy, or the latest Extra History.
