Thank you. When I was in grade school, I experienced a 3-year rotation between Virginia, US, and world history. I was always sad and frustrated as the world history year went on, and less and less time was left for the non-European parts of the word. Latin America was last of all, with only a bout 3 or 4 weeks left before class es ended for the summer break.

Awesome! I've been waiting for this for so long! I'm so glad I suggested this topic!

I'd guess that when the republics of Mali and Ghana became independent from French Soudan and British Gold Coast, respectively, they elected to use the old empire names out of historical continuity.

I'm really excited and happy about this serie. Too often, Africa gets the short hand of the stick when it comes to history.

This might be premature but if the empire Mali came from the Ghana empire what happened to result in there being a republic of Mali and a Ghana in Africa today? Also is it possible the emperor found the american continent or just the oceanic current that lead to it?

For this Series I am going to Quote Leonard Nimoy's Voice Acting from the Civ IV Technology thingy. For starters: Hunting *Ping!* "If you chase Two Rabbits you will lose them both" ~ Native American saying
