Would this sort of thing be something you guys would be interested in seeing more of?

This is how all the pages start. And a loooot can change at this stage still. Text is usually the last thing we revise. While most of it is set in stone, more often than not there's a lot of things that need tweaking.

I hate doing thumbnails. They're definitely the hardest stage of the whole page process.

Tistow - Paper's Please - 15

Realised I've numbered these a bit funny. :'D Gonna go with the website numbering from now on. Here's a new one!

Eee done. Well, very nearly, few little things I missed like his buggering freckles. Also Elsie's hairline really gotta migrate a bit further downwards, hah.

♥ Next one!

Happy new year!

Aaaa bloody streets and people. I wanted to get this done before the end of the year, and might still make it. I definitely won't manage the other page on this spread but, this at least!

Papers Please - 01-02

Happy yuletide!

I'm finally done with these two. The city definitely took the longest to sort out. :')

Those who have read the older version of the comic, will recognise a few things. The layout of the pages is a nod to the old version and the sepia is a further nod to the very first iteration from when I didn't feel comfortable with colouring yet. That was such a long time ago now. Funny how things turn out.

There's a few small changes I still want to make to this but nothi...

NOW KITH

Gosh various silly sketches of these two lads.

I've been wrapped up in work, school and a house purchase the last month. I'm so so tired and barely had time to get everything done let alone do anything fun for myself.

Night shift

I've been away for a couple of weeks so I've made very little progress on the main story. But I really wanted to draw this much later scene down while I remember it. :'D

Tistow - 1-10

Wheee happy first scene completion! We've sat on this for a while now and I didn't want to trickle feed it to y'all.

The comic can also be read on the website, I hope you guys enjoy it so far. ♥

Old Face

Tistow has many many many gods squirreled away in different places and planes with lots of different roles. Some more powerful than others. What they all have in common though, is their fear of becoming irrelevant.

Plastered in rather obscure places (warehouse walls, ladles and random trees), you may find the face of an old god that has long lost its form and memories. Even it struggles to recall who it once was and what role it held.

I'm gonna make a separate section for these, but I've found myself getting a bit frustrated colouring larges pages. I think it's partly the medication I'm on, having a bit bad time with it.

I'm trying really hard to keep reminding myself that I'm allowed to have fun with Tistow, it doesn't need to be a chorse. So I'm gonna finish off more of this sort of short comics with characters interacting for no other purpose than it's fun for me. And I hope you guys find them fun too! ♥

The comic has many rats. I really need to draw them more.

Sketchcote is fun. This is the revisions we did very recently. The changes stretch the scene slightly and I honestly have to say I prefer this version to the old. Makes it an extra page for y'all to read!

Whole bunch of new shit and some reused lineart.

Oh no

I made some changes to the original 9 pages line-up, turning it into 10 (technically 11 but the cover doesn't count). We decided we didn't really like the flow as much as we did in the beginning, so I'm really hoping this will fix that.

It's that stage where you start to doubt your ability to create anything. But hey. We're gonna keep going, janky or not. I want to continue to enjoy the process.

I'm heading back to Finland to study for a week, so I'm gonna use up any extra time to...

Tistow - 04

This page has no dialogue, so here it is in its full glory. :'D Whenever we start a new scene, I always find it really difficult to pick a decent colour scheme for backgrounds. Characters too but it's honestly a lot less of a concern nowadays. It's still really hard and frustrating at times.

Part of Pantheon

I'm forever updating this feels like. There's a fair few gods missing from this list, some of them you know, others you have not met.

All of these guys you should hopefully recognise though! Although, our serpent. Well. I won't have talked much about in this format. You'll find out fairly early on in the comic who they are.

The others are; Woodcarver of course, he's still around. Soot is still a right pain in the arse and then the more ancient one being the Buck. Our newest, upcom...

I've been working on the remaining 8 pages of the 10 I've made for Tistow so far. The character colours are finished, still got a whole bunch of backgrounds and atmosphere stuff left to do!

Woosh! Sketchcote's creepy hounds. :)

No text this time, very much still revising it.

Proboscis

Remember these guys? I've posted a page about them before a long time ago.

Sketchcote has two companion dogs that follow him everywhere, and they're not quite what they seem. I wanted them to be really creepy. The dogs started off as wolfhound type of wiryhaired dogs with elongated jaws. But that didn't quite feel special enough, so I ended up addings more eyes and a lot of malformed heads and teeth.

Only much later on did I learn about Demikhov's historical, awful experiments on ...

Inks and dialogue - 05-06

Woop another done! I didn't include dialogue in the last few pages because they're still under review. As are these of course (I've also since then amended some of the graphics, very minimal changes).

I was considering opening up a Beta read Discord for anyone who is interested in taking part in the process of making these scenes. A lot changes over time and I'd honestly love to hear feedback from y'all. Updates are fairly sporadic though.

Skipping game

This is me writing and sketching down things to make sure I remember it all later.

The urchins in Tistow play a skipping game known as 'dragons and rat'. It includes a ditty that they chant and sing while playing.

The game involves a chalk drawn dragon on the cobbles of various lengths. The players are 'dragons' skipping up and down its spine and wings, trying to reach the head as fast as they can.

A 'rat' watches from the sidelines and should any of the 'dragons', "...
