Try finding at least one to not vote for; even if you love all of them, and even if you can't pick a favorite...

Brian Rose

Even if you can't pick a favorite, and even if they all look good, I would still try to see if at least one of them not to vote for; otherwise, yeah it pretty much does make the vote meaningless.

Brian Rose

Well no it doesn't. It's basically because we cannot choose a Favourite out of this lot, hence the decision to Vote for all of them.

Martin Verran

I need a moment to think about this. I don't really know anything about any of these and they're all well off the beaten path, which makes them interesting and worthwhile as far as I'm concerned. I think I might skip Boleslav since early medieval kingdom founders generally interest me less than late medieval and renaissance state builders. Probably just my modern day bias speaking and not understanding the greatness of medieval kingdoms.

Christina Maria Jessen

I do remember that! It's why I kind of don't want him to win (see comment below)

Brian Rose

Just going by a glance at Wikipedia, I think focusing on the 12th and/or 13th Centuries would be a good place to start.

Brian Rose

As cool as he may be, I'm kind of hoping Khosrow doesn't win, since he was already touched on back in the Justinian and Theodora series; other parts of history (like Poland and Southest Asia) need love too.

Brian Rose

You guys do realize voting for everyone makes your vote meaningless?

Pavel Yakushevich

Don't know any of these people, but the title "A Master Class in Trolling" has my interest piqued.

Favio Ferreira

Whatever you guys do, consult an expert in the field to give you a bibliography.

Peter Melling

Khosrow is too close to Europe for my tastes. I'd worry about having another Suleiman situation on our hands, with the crew writing about a non-European from a decidedly Eurocentric POV. With the Khmer Empire, there's less of a risk of that happening.

Peter Melling

Man, it's really a tight matchup between Khosrow and the Khmer. Literally 1 vote away from each other by the time I voted.

Moarice

As much as Khostow sounds awesome, here's hoping on going a bit further afield.

Kieran Elliott

Fingers crossed someone recommends Michael Collins or William Wallace one day (lol)

David May

Me too!

Lou Hartman

Woo, my topic about the Khmer empire for chosen ^^ but good round overall, happy with all these choices :)

William Warren

I guess I'm just still too salty over Emperor Valerian to vote for the Sassanids

Michael Waisfeld

Hmm, such a great choice. I think I'll vote for all of them and hope we get a four way tie! Sorry, EC, but we really want all of them!

SparkyDJM1

So too did I, because hopefully that way I will avoid the disappointment of backing the losing Horse again. [again I don't mean my real Horse; old Dolly is a bit long in the Tooth now and does everything in One of Three speeds: Slow, slower, and stop. It's an expression.] That and I've really wanted an Indian Extra History since I joined Patreon. It's a pity I didn't get around to updating my PURR-ledge in the End. 😉

Martin Verran

For once I voted for ALL OF THEM.

Antti Björklund

Khmernnnnn guysssss

Elliot Hobbs

tro-lololololololololololololololo!

Catherine Elizabeth Merkley

let trolling prosper!

Adam Conner

Cmon Khusrow, I want to learn about the Sassanid Persians and learn how to troll the Byzantine empire at the same time!

Mornathel

I'm still surprised that Fredrick der Grosse (Fredrick the Second)of Prussia is still being passed over, but someone being called 'The Grand Old Man of India' sounds VERY interesting to say the least.

Aaron Neumann

Man. This one's hard. I think for the first time I'm actually going "All of them!"

Nessf

All of these are great! I love learning about topics outside of European history, so seeing so many featured here is really exciting for me!

Colin

C'mere and vote for Khmer.

MrBreaksIt

Khosrow really does deserve his own series. Here's to the philosopher king!

Shaun Hentchel

Khmer because I was curious when mentioned in 'The History of the World, I guess '

theanimangagirl

Although that is a long time to cover.

Alex Purchase

Come on Khmer empire. I know nothing about it but would love to learn.

Alex Purchase

For those who haven't seen Justinian part II check it out. Khosrow getting his own series would be awesome

Jim Land

I don't know any of these people... I'd love to learn about them all!

William Lao

Hmmmmm, such a tricky choice! They all sound good.

Christopher Smith

Bruh, trolling. Keep it on the list even if it doesn't win.

KHMakerD

South and Southeast Asia are finally on the list! #deathtoeurocentrism
