Update On Projects

Here is an update on what's been happening.
Painterly Shaders:
After my last video I spend three weeks working on another painterly shader. However I hit a road block where after putting everything together I realized it did'nt look much like the artist I was trying to emulate. So I put that project on pause to let my subconcious play with it. I should pick the painterly shadaer back up again soon.
Painterly Reshade:
I was also working on the conversion to reshade when I realized I would have nothing to upload to my channel this month if I didn't scramble to build something.
The next project:
So I began a project which is now finished. PIxel clarity is so important to this project. So currently I'm combating youtube's compression. Either I upload in 4k and hope everyone can handle at least a higher res than 1080, or I have another work around which I am excited to share either way.

Hey Tom, thanks for this tip! I've heard something similar but about codecs. 4k is supposed to force youtube to use the vp9 codec. I ran a lot of tests today and it does seem that vp9 will give me the quality I need. I'm hoping to publish the final tomororow.

2025-04-10 04:37:12 +0000 UTCI think if you upload at 4K, a higher bitrate is also used for 1080P. But only YouTube premium subscribers can get premium bitrate 1080P. Either way, 4K won’t hurt! Really looking forward to your next video!
