Hi Creative Coders! ✌️
I hope you are doing great so far! Right now, here in Barcelona, the OFFF Festival is happening. It's one of the really big design festivals in the world and thousands of people come from all places to attend and of course, to give talks workshops and so on. When I saw that Talia Cotton is going to be around here, It was clear to me that I have to meet her. Two days ago, very spontanoussly, we did not just hang around at my office, we even recorded our great conversation to share it with you folks today.
Talia's work is really interesting: She and her freshly founded studio COTTON develops visual identities, but mostly uses coding (HTML, CSS and Javascript) as a foundational tools for that. Through this special combination they create a unique, powerful output.
We were speaking about many things: Learning to code, teaching, her time at Pentagram, client work, trajectories and much more.
I am publishing this interview with you folks exclusively, before I share it on YouTube in a few weeks.
What do you like about Talia's approach? What sticks with you from this conversation?
Please feel free to leave a comment here and start a conversation!
I wish you a great weekend!
Warm greetings from Barcelona, ☀️
