"Modulo Mixtape" - exclusive preview 💥

Dear patrons,

I hope you are all well! I've been working pretty busy the last few days on the courses. I'm especially happy with the lessons I recorded for Modulo Mixtape, which I share with you today in this preview. The spectrum of possible applications is really amazing: from creating rhythmic patterns to controlling Boomerang animations. And I think there's even more to discover.

I will port the code-snippets to p5.js as well in the end when i am finished with the other lessons.

In this video I share with you the freshly recorded first 3 lessons from the course. As always, I'm totally happy about your feedback!

Enjoy and have a fabulous weekend!

Warmly, ☀️

Tim

Hey there, thanks for sharing your thoughts here, this is an important question! Basically you should never change the frameRate within the runtime of a sketch, instead there is a much better solution, namely the modulo operator. You can use it to paint on the canvas in a certain rhythm. Here's a quick demo: https://we.tl/t-7sR1HwaYuC

Tim, amazing content! I've just put it into practice doing some simple visuals for a small electronic music event this past weekend. I didn't find a proper way to change frameRate when 'switching scenes' (for example when you need different frameRates for different scenes because of the nature of the animation of such scenes). Trying to channge the frameRate value when switching scenes resulted in weird behaviour, and as the Processing documentation says, it's not a good idea to change frameRate beyond de setup(). Maybe this is something to further explore :)

Hi Tameem! Yes this tool is really crazy! I hope to record the rest of the videos next week 🔥

I think the potential of the Modulo operator is big, I need to dive and start experimenting, thank you for opening another door and looking forward for more.
