Update: Making Private Audio Better for You

Hi everyone —

I’ve been looking closely at how Private Audio works, and I want to make sure your membership always feels valuable and easy to use. I’ve started making some important updates:

🎧 Podcast (RSS) Feed

The podcast feed is temporarily turned off.

Previously, it was possible to download and keep any of the 2,200-audios and then cancel. Since Private Audio is meant to be more of a streaming service with fresh weekly releases I’m updating the feed so it will only show the most recent 30 to 60 days of audios. That way, you will still be able to use podcast apps for new content.

Because I need to edit every post by hand, this will take some time, weeks. In the meantime, all audios remain fully available via the Patreon app or a browser.

Better Organization

While I'm going back over the archive I'm also updating posts with more tags and more detailed tags. This should improve both search and clarity. In a few cases I'm remastered some of the older recordings to bring them up to higher audio quality standards.

iOS app sign-ups

If you joined through the Patreon iOS app, Apple adds about 30% in extra fees. This affects roughly 1 in 10 members here.

If you wish you can fix this:

1. Cancel your membership in the app.

2. Re-join at Patreon.com using a browser.

3. You can still use the app afterward — without the extra fee.

If you’re concerned about being double-charged, just DM me. I’ll refund one month so the switch is smooth.
