Here are the first four pages sketched out of this 3rd installment with Wells, Brooke, and Rö. It's funny, I have just realised that only Wells and Rö have actually been named in the comic, and only in the 2nd one. Maybe I will have to work Brooke's name into this one at some point.
It's only about 2/3rds thumbed out so far, so I'm hoping that by the time I get towards the end of the existing thumbs, I'll have the vibe rolling and I can work out how to conclude it. I think this one will end up a bit longer then the first two, I have 15 pages thumbed so far, and as I said, it's not done.
I have been working on setting up a webcomic host for my currently medium-term in development comic, on ComicFury, which I have found the perfect balance between simplicity and advanced access to the code. Lots of hosting places try to give you really fancy visual editors where you can drag the page bits around and its all user-friendly and stuff (like Wix and stuff), but that results in the actual code of the webpage being super complicated and deeoly nested and obscure. I prefer to code by like, understanding all the building blocks I'm working with though, so those solutions are a huge complexity barrier, given that I'm also a perfectionist/control freak and I'm unsatisfied with pre-built solutions. Anyway, ComicFury does the bare minimum of providing a basic webcomic-focused templating syntax, and apart from that it's just HTML and CSS. I spent a day hacking all of the animated transitions out of a default template, and then another day or two rebuilding my own template from the ground up, and it's pretty basic, but I made it, and I like it, and it's simple.
Why am I telling you this? Because I have made a webcomic page for the existing two WBR comics A First (Meeting) and Coming Home. You can have a look here. It's probably the best reading experience out of Hentai-Foundry or trying to find it on twitter/bsky. I will probaly still futz with the layout a bit more, feel free to tell me what you think. You can leave comments there if you like, I worked really hard to hide the comments section behind a disclosure button (because the comment form is unstylable being cross-origin), while still forcing the page to pre-load the comment widget. I've also been trying to get the page to pre-cache the next page, for smoother reading, but I'm a web engineering noob and I couldn't get it to work yet.
Anyway, I hope those of you who managed to catch my weird magical girl concept before patreon took it down thought it was cool. I considered the comedy value of drawing bigger titties on her and resubmitting, but lets not plpay with fire eh? It does mean I won't post the next thing I had queued up though. Dw it was pretty sexy but not that sexy, ur not missing much.
