I've been pretty uninspired by drawing smut for a little while. Seems like part of it is I haven't managed to maintain the reward cycle; I'm not finishing stuff, so I'm not feeling artistically satisfied, and I also don't have quality stuff to post on the internet for <3 based dopamine haha. Inking Interrupted was really rewarding because I was feeling really satisfied with the outcome, feeling competent and proud of my storytelling and inking.

Really old medusa sketch

Break

Hello, I seem to have taken an unintentional but much needed break from drawing for the last week or so. I've started getting a kinda off pins-and-needles feeling in my non-dominant shoulder blade, very strange. I think it must be the posture I hold that arm in to hit hotkeys, I was really enjoying smashing out inked pages and went a bit hard. Very frustrating! But there's only like 80% of one page left to ink. I'll be back at it soon anyway.

Comic update!

Hello~ I just wanted to share the news that I have started working on inking Interrupted, the kinda long-running Wells, Brooke, and Rö comic you may have read the draft of. I've inked two pages in the last three days, and I'm working on it more today.

Demons size lineup

Here's a size comparison lineup of these guys, since I've been drawing them a bit to warm up back into doing art. I think maybe they sharehouse together? Or maybe just live in the same building. Sweater Demon is probably a bit of a workaholic shut-in, and Yellow wants to help her.

Demon Couple Sketches

My friend said she liked seeing that demon couple again, and I'd just been drawing a bunch of gross tongue-deepthroating (slide 2), so when I asked her what I should draw, she requested "all-the-way-through with that tongue", so there you are. I think the pose/concept is good, but I think the composition needs work.

One time earlier this year I was playing around w a free trial of one of those online things where you draw and it gets fed as input to an ai to generate an image, but it was actually just super annoying and garbage, big surprise, so I just drew this kinda cool demon gal in the shitty drawing web app input side thing. I think there's a funny irony to it or something?? Like I guess they did in some sense make a tool for people to make art??

Sweater Demon Poke

Dug out an old sweater demon tentacle researcher sketch I never did anything with. She's really easy to draw, it was nice to work this process again. I went back to studying the very first pic of her I drew, which was super rough, but once again, I think it's great energy?

Coloured version

Made a rough coloured version. Dunno if I'm happy with it, being deliberately rough is weird. Making lots of versions of the same pic is an interesting study though.

Art couple monochrome

Did a bunch of drawing today, it felt really good. I drew a picture of Annue's OCs Ami and Mai, I hung out in a drawpile for a while, and I did a tightened up sketch (2nd pic) for this cool old thumbnail I had lying around (3rd pic). And then I still felt like drawing a bit before I went to bed, so I did this quick monochrome take on it (first pic). I once again like the energy in the thumbnail more, it's just so good. I think maybe I should try to not clean things up as much... or get better...
