2025-06-28 14:59:07 +0000 UTCA lot of Orochimaru's strength lies in his extensive knowledge of forbidden jutsu, so he was heavily handicapped since he can't use any jutsu without his hands. Jiraiya was drugged and could only use a fraction of his full strength too. Tsuande hadn't been in battle in decades, so she was very rusty, so they all weren't anywhere close to their full potential.

The fact he has such a close relationship with the new Hokage gives him a LOT of credibility and perks in the village now too.
