"It's time for something new!" Well said. Anything in mind at the moment?! Saint Seiya, Rurouni Kenshin, and Slam Dunk are all ones I would recommend for similar era of production vibes! If you are seeking more of a change-up, the mecha genre would be a great place to look; the original Gundam presents a great starting point (43 episodes, but offers a very expansive storyline that continues in follow-up series set within the Universal Century timeline). So, if you can forgive my rambling, I look forward to whatever you guys decide on! (Even planning on watching Naruto just because I would like to check out those reactions!)

2025-04-11 23:40:15 +0000 UTCThere's quite a bit of Makuro's backstory that was left out of the anime most likely due to the subject matter and I will spare you from the most horrific details as they're downright sickening but basically the reason she looks the way she does was after all the sexual abuse she went through as a child she ultimately poured acid on herself so that her captor wouldn't want her anymore. She's a truly tragic character much like Hiei and them being able to come to an understanding and show compassion for each other to leave their pasts behind is such fantastic writing by Togashi.

2025-04-11 21:42:34 +0000 UTCFun fact: the last arc was rush due to togashi health was getting bad. So he rush before something bad to him. His health gotten bad during the dark tournament arc. Oh btw, if you didnβt know but Sasuke is literally a copy paste of Hiei in Naruto.
