Dragon Ball Super - Episode 67

Dragon Ball Super - Episode 67

Comments

Haha at least he has that, and Mai of course!

Kaizen

Yeah exactly. I was thinking the same. I wish Trunk's timeline wasn't destroyed, but that part with him and Gohan was truly beautiful. After thinking a little bit more about the ending, I do like it more than I initally thought

Kaizen

At first I also didn't like the ending, but after thinking about it a little bit more, I do kind of like it. I would also like to see some things different and it's just a very bittersweet ending, because Trunk's timeline was still destroyed. The part with him and Gohan was amazing. That really got us emotional. Yes, there are a lot of mistakes in dragon ball in general. Sometimes it's confusing

Kaizen

He really gave everything he had against Zamasu. He fought so hard to protect what was left. He was carrying the weight of his timeline's entire future on his shoulders. I'm proud of him for never giving up

Kaizen

Though Trunks lost everything, failed at his overall mission, he still continues to see the bright side with hope and faith. I’ll always respect trunks for always moving forward and staying positive!!!

I mean even though 67 and 68 are filler, the fight we get really shows how much Goku has improved since earlier in the show.

I don’t like this ending at all, but the Gohan and Trunks interaction at the end was really good. I think this arc could’ve been way better with some big changes. Even though the manga version is LEAGUES better, it’s still brought down by having to follow the same questionable ending. On paper, there’s a lot to love here. I love the fact that the antagonist won this time, and that’s something I wouldn’t change, but the way it happened (especially in the anime) wasn’t executed well. Oh and pair with this the fact that Toriyama created a potara time limit just for this arc, pivoted the story around it, but then chose to undo that mechanic in Daima. The potara time limit should not have been introduced, because it introduces potential narrative issues. But at least if you introduce it, stick with it. I hate how flip-floppy DB can get about its decisions. Removing the limit almost pisses me off more than introducing it.

Hohoho

Next episodes are fillers. Straight to 71-72 Now

Although I think this ending is kind of an A$$-pull, that moment between Gohan & Trunks made me legit stop tears. Very powerful moment.

Well, one thing that comes out of it is that trunks has someone to train with and fuse with (himself).

Tarvas

I was honestly shocked to find out that the little guy was actually Whis' father! Did not see that coming at all.

Kaizen

Agreed dude! I also really like this ending, there was literally nothing they could do. It is bittersweet and it really does make sense 👍🏼

Kaizen

I love the ending. They lost and there was no way to win without the nuclear option. The future Trunks and Mai go to is similar but not their own. So while they get a peaceful ending it's not theirs. That's bittersweet and considering how all the arcs end with victory (minus Goku staying dead in Cell Saga) it's refreshing.

Toxic Brood

Angels age in reverse of mortals. The smaller and cuter they are, the older. Knowing the Grand Priest is Whis' dad makes so much sense why he's stronger. And his laid back and calm demeanor shows he's seen it all.

Toxic Brood

You said it. When he achieved immortality this was the end result. They were doomed from the beginning. It makes complete sense why Zeno has to erase the entire universe. He had infected it like the plague and if a shred of him remained it would have been a problem again. Shows why Supreme Kais must be careful with their role and power. I can imagine the future grand priest sighing as Zeno was summoned knowing what was about to happen.

Toxic Brood

I mean the gods always put a lot of emphasis how bad it is messing with time, but we never get a direct explanation as to why.

Shamir Smith

I get it though the ending was weird. Unexpected, but weird, and like I said hopefully there's a future story arc that sort ties back into all this.
