Wow, thank you so much for this explanation. It's really interesting that it's not just a random number in the anime and it included the 7 deadly sins. It gives more depth to the characters and story as well.

2025-03-04 06:21:45 +0000 UTCI've noticed-- in Asian cultures, they tell you characters bloodtypes. (Fighting games for example) This is because they view bloodtypes the way we view zodiac signs, if I'm not mistaken. You kinda get a generalization of a person's personality.

Apparently, a few years after he disappeared, he had sent his mom 1,000,000 dollars. To me, its implied he used his powers to become a professional assassin or hitman.

As you know mortality is the primary theme of this arc and the meaning of 7 as I mentioned before as biblical importance. In Western theology at least, 7 means wholeness or completeness. That's why in Genesis it took God 7 days to create the universe. Also, the 7 psychics actually represent the 7 deadly sins. The way each psychic on Sensui's team died corresponds to that end result of not repenting from that sin. For example, Gourmet corresponded to gluttony. Gluttony is when you consume more than you need to indulge in your desires without any regards for how those effects yourself. Gourmet could get a power he wanted by the people he ate, but his own hunger resulted in him eating something bad (Elder Toguro) and he essentially was eating himself from within. Speaking of, Elder Toguro was also one of the psychics that represented a sin. Toguro was Greed. He thought he was untouchable because he could take any power with Gourmet. Gluttony and Greed are often interconnected so there's more symbolism there, but in the end Toguro meet an even worse fate because he was so consumed by wanting revenge, he'll forever be haunted by that he'll never obtain. I'll tell you the other ones just so you know. Doctor was Wrath, Seaman was Envy, Sniper was Pride, Game Master was Sloth, and Gatekeeper was Lust. By how they all turned out it's clear which ones repented of their sin and which ones chose not to change.
