Its always been a Saiyan show though and Goku's the main attraction. "Not to you Gohan, but to a warrior, it matters greatly." Dayum! If anyone has the willpower to overcome themselves while someone else is trying to control him, its Vegeta! He is the one that can break out of "The Sunken Place" from Get Out! And okay, I understand where Vegeta is coming from, I just don't like how he went about it. Exactly what has Goku done to Geets that warrants him wanting his head on a pike? Goku has been nothing but a broskie to Vegeta and spared his life twice. Don't get me wrong, Vegeta is one of my favorite characters for sure.
