Character Icons - "32 bits" Vs "8Bits"

Ok imma be fr from the start.
the icons on the left.
They were soooo inspired by these GwainSaga ones.

LOOK I JOINED HIS PATREON YESTERDAY AND BRO GAVE ME SO MUCH INSPIRATION/MOTIVATION
I STARTED DOING RANDOM SHI CUZ HE'S JUST THAT GOOD.

(RESETALE was also inspired by GwainSaga but i forgot to mention that in any way inside EP1, however you'll be able to see it a lil bit more in Episode 2 ! :p)

ANYWAYS BACK TO THE ACTUAL THINGY.
So while doing this i was realizing
"wow... this is easy lmao"
Like compared to the icons i've made before, this... was so easy
(literally 5 times less pixels)

I was so happy i made more characters than before that tried to use em in stuff like that one thing the mario games used to do when they mention peach or a character and an icon pops
random sentence - Name - Icon - the rest

And that was the original idea since i already had icons.
It looked pretty good but it was very annoying to add the icon inside the text
and that's without the new text animation
that means i gotta animate that too.

But i'm lazy, however i wanna use em anyways
so i was thinking about replacing the big icons with the smaller ones.
i mean look at then side by side

I don't know how to explain it but it looks better.
but it was time for the final test.
"what would it look like on an actual dialogue box ?"
so i tried, both versions in EP 1

(also i went undertale style cuz the corner thingy, me no likey lol)

So either i update the old icons so it fills more their space
or i just replace em with the "8 bits" ones

The obvious choice is the "8 bits" one
but hear me out
remember sans ? (MY MEMORIES)
well there was one thing i liked and it was his expressions
and i could modify everyone's expression with more pixels unlike the "8 bits" ones

Harder to do -> better to manipulate
Easier to do -> limited in modifications.

I could still go with this idea but that's just more work.
