Its kind of Goku's fault too for not finishing Dr. Gero off. Trunks did call him out for that when they first met. He also let Freeza go a few times. It reminds me of that saying from Shining Force 3: "If you let a wounded enemy escape, he will return twice as strong. Thus, you invite your own demise"... which is exactly what happened multiple times. When Cell raised his hand, I thought he was going to pull a Freeza and say, "5 minutes!" - which would've turned into like 30 episodes XD And oh god, Goku low key saying Piccolo is so irrelevant, that he's better off splitting in two to be of use 😳
