Poll/Opinion on what Tifa model to use? January Poll 2025 (2)
Added 2026-01-15 23:04:45 +0000 UTCHey hey. When I finish the rough draft of the Tifa Lifeguard animation and send it off to get voicing done, I will start work on the Tifa Tarkov animation =p. I am debating on which Tifa models to use. All three is same lighting and camera.
Mokujinh's Tifa model is the one I have used in almost all the Tifa animations. I am pretty familiar with her rig and everything is done manually via rig/bones. But.. after some time, I think she starting to look different than in game. Her face is off. Mokujinh's Tifa however has a lot of outfits (over 18).
BulgingSenpai's Tifa model looks the best and closest to the game. However, her hair and some parts of her outfit uses physics instead of bones. I used BulgingSenpai's Scarlet model before and I run across the issue where if I wanted to re-render the same scene or frames, the hair wont be exactly the same position. So if I wanted to do black and white version or a non preggo and preggo version, the hair, earrings, flaps would look different in the same exact camera and frame.
Memz Tifa model is inbetween. She has bones for her hair and etc. I used Memz Yuffie model for the Yuffie train animation so I am familiar with it too. She looks decently close to in game.
Which one you guys think I should use? Gonna make this poll available for everyone since I may or may not use the results for my decision XD.. Just wanted to know what you guys think. I am weighing between utility, potential issues and aesthetics.
That being said.. the other poll still has a +12 hours left, the one where if you want to see Tifa being DAP or DVP.

Nah, just each models have their advantages and disadvantages. Mostly concern with which one is most trouble free XD. And by versions, I for this instance, I mean Black and White. For Bulging, Basically the hair will behave differently every time i try to render it. so her hair will be in a different position between black and white even though its the same exact scene and frame. Even after baking it.

BulgingSenpai—if I remember correctly, there’s a green dress with high heels that looks really nice , the one young Tifa wore.Mokujinh’s model also includes this outfit, but I don’t know why—he seems to have changed the green to white.

2026-01-22 16:14:08 +0000 UTCeven in same version. let's say I have 400 frames for one camera angle, if i see like a mistake in my animation for a camera angle that can be seen in frames 80-100, i'd have to render ALL 400 frames frames in that camera angle, instead of just frames 80-100. And oh boob sizes can be changed hehe.
