[Update] More Progress with Blocking In

Trying a slightly different format - let me know if you prefer this captioned flipbook approach for the blocking-in stage, or to have it grouped up in the body of the post like before. At this early stage (where things are naturally bare-bones) it doesn't feel like there's much to 'show off', but maybe this is a better way of presenting things?

Anyways, I've continued to work away at blocking-in my current animation. I've got through another 43 seconds worth of shots for the next segment now, though it’s not quite done yet.

I was planning to have some shots of Hugo under Lug's toes following his shrinking, but it's not really coming together at the moment. Instead I'm going to be jumping to the next segment, the foot-job focused bit, and then I'll bridge the gap between the two afterwards. Along with that I'm also still shuffling shots around and cutting things in and out, both with this segment and the intro.

I’m aiming to keep the total length for this one under 3 minutes.

I'll be posting another update once I've got more blocking-in done.

I'm also rolling around the thought of doing another render set, just to break things up a bit. Working on renders (or short animations) while a project is already in the works obviously pulls time away from it, so I'm still thinking it over at the moment.

Whether to save that till after I've got all this blocking in done or not.

While I'm aiming to take a longer view when it comes to these animations (no rushing or crunching), this is one I would like to finish sooner rather than later. If only so I can start thinking on and getting feedback about how to better structure this place around getting more similarly long animations done.

Other than that, well I guess I'm also thinking over the title of this one still, since it involves more than just the ending foot-job bit. Hugo Under Foot? Shrinking in the Summer Sun? Still rolling it around at the moment.
