I guess he did something pretty good to deserve such a treat.
Although there are a few errors with this one, I am quite happy with how this one turned out. There are two parts to making these sketch renders: the outline layer and the color layer. By tweaking each one individually, I get different results. Usually I use the outline layer to create the outlines around the figures, but this time I also had the outline layer shade in some parts. Its most obvious on the female, where it kinda looks like pencil shading. The other thing I did differently is I did not apply a comic book like color layer. Instead, I simply put the outline over the original render which softened the colors a bit.
As for the errors: the most obvious one is the floating feet. With these render settings, the floor was placed automatically, so something in the scene was a bit lower than the feet which pushed the floor down. I'll have to figure out how to manually place the floor. The other error is with the hair and fingers. I didn't think it would be too bad, but the sketchy filter kinda emphasized the error unexpectedly.
Also, side note: this was the only wolf I had XD
So with the handful of these that I've done, I've already learned a lot about the process. They're quite fun and quick to do.
