Thanks! I think my main influence for the cross hatch has to be @kse332. He was a storyboard artist for the Boondocks. I was 18 when I first started going deep into cross hatching and learning how to create value with it. I initially began by using lead pencil and the knowledge built from that medium then moved into ball point pens, and now I use micron pens with textured paper.
