Added 2021-11-23 08:35:25 +0000 UTCIn the old design/flow, player can just jump into Karen's dungeon and beat her ass. If the player knows her fighting pattern or the savefile is op. Which is a bit weird.
Also, in the old design, the fights are similar to Iris'. Biggest problem of the fights on Iris floor is that they feel more like a lewd scene picker, instead of a playable fight. You pick your lewd scenes and lose/surrender, just so you can trigger the lose scenes. Which would work for soft mistress like Iris, but it doesn't work for Karen.
So I spend the last month changing the whole structure of 9F to solve the problems I listed above. It sounds like a big change but actually most assets I've done can still be used. The CGs, sprites, maps. Not much time has been wasted.
Also, I'm also planning a scene and a battle with Lily on this floor. Since her father, the master of Water Dojo will make his appearance on this floor. It's just a waste to not let Lily has her revenge.
Although I've spent most of the time re-planning and writing for the changes, here is a few cgs I added last month, additional CGs for the changes I made.

More like the really strong lieutenant to the final boss. i always imagined the top level to have someone more like Eliza. So confident that she didn't even have to try to be intimidating, like a spider always smiling while she weaves a web. Very strong too, but more subtle in displaying strength, more interested in breaking the mind than the body. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends.

I understand development flow and delays, but this is getting a bit out of hand for the patreons. Very much looking for a definitive release time from Koda.
