I mean, it IS meant to look slightly creepy. But you'll be able to tell the difference between the mask her her real face better when it's all colored.

They just have a black dot where there should be an iris and a pupil, and the dot touches the heavy black lines at the top and bottom of the eye shape. The white of the eyes isn’t a clean white, and it contrasts with the gold or painted skin of the mask face. Also often there’s chipping or other wear,
