Hypothetical RPG show
Added 2024-01-14 00:41:10 +0000 UTCIf Harbor Patrol came back, there might be a few big changes that we'd need to make sure everyone's on board for. Here's a short list of the top things on my mind:
- we'd drop the DC Universe completely and go full original universe
- the entire cast might not be available, but you'll get at least 2-3 core ComicPop members
- we would change the game engine we're using from M&M/DC Universe to either 5E or something completely unrelated to Wizards of the Coast (for obvious reasons)
- it would debut on ComicPop Returns instead of ComicPop
Would love to hear your feedback on this, gang. What would you want to see? What are things we absolutely need to keep? Let's gooooo!

Harbor Patrol was a blast! I think an original universe sounds great. My suggestion would be, to make it a universe that is still βeverymanβ but also full of the fantastic. Like the MU. Make it approachable. Also, while the Harbor Patrol story was entertaining, I think it would be cool to have a campaign with some higher stakes. Ultimately, I will watch and support Comic Pop no matter what. You guys never disappoint.

2024-01-14 05:17:25 +0000 UTCHaving Harbor Patrol back would be fantastic. I would recommend something a little more rules-lite for this show, that way you can focus on telling a really good story and not ever get bogged down in the crunchy nature of a system

2024-01-14 01:56:38 +0000 UTC100% down, as others, for a new Harbor Patrol. If I might make a suggestion: do a Superhero designed system. Although 5e is very popular I don't know that it fits for building a Harbor Patrol system. Marvel Heroic Roleplaying Basic Game is a workable system, and if you want something a bit more complex Aberrant 1e/2e (more balanced). My #1 suggestion would be the Old School Marvel TSR game. Everything is a D100 and a simple table and the PDFs are simply out there.
